Disappointing Experience with mountain hardwear.

I recently placed an order for 20 sleeping bags with mountain hardwear and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Only 8 sleeping bags were delivered, despite the order confirmation stating otherwise.

Upon reaching out to customer service, I was met with a response that was dismissive and unhelpful. Despite providing evidence of the missing items, the store refused to acknowledge the mistake or offer a resolution.

As a loyal customer since 2021 and a representative of a prominent international travel company, I expected better service and accountability from mountain hardwear. The lack of transparency and unwillingness to address the issue in a satisfactory manner is truly disappointing.

I urge potential customers to exercise caution when considering purchasing from mountain hardwear, as my experience highlights significant shortcomings in their customer service and order fulfillment processes.

Having recently purchased an off grid ranch in major disrepair, I often find myself needing something from the hardware store. I try to tackle most repair projects on my own, learning a great deal from YouTube videos and other resources.

The success of the project often depends on having the correct supplies and the proper tools to do the job. This is when a good hardware store can make or break your project. My experience at Mountain Hardware was honestly the highlight of my day.

Having an adequately staffed store with knowlegeable talent turned what normally is a frustrating visit to a big box store into a very pleasant shopping experience. I got the assistance I needed to choose the correct parts for the job and they were in stock!!

Did I pay a bit more than discount store prices? Probably. But sometimes my time is worth more than the few pennies I might save. And it's no bargain if you bought the wrong thing and then have to return it, right?

I didn’t get as good of a service as others. I saw the staff interacting with a group or a family before us laughing and being friendly. But when it was our turn, they did not smile and greet us or ask if we find anything okay. Just checks out and no smiles. When it was us asking questions, they kind of answer it simply in one sentence and didn’t elaborate. I asked for the map and the staff would tell me the direction but when I ask about the road that is closed, they said “oh yeah that road is closed.” No apologies but like you were going to lead us there when you know the road is closed? I felt a bit unwelcome as a minority. Just disappointed that they sound friendly over the phone and meeting in person is a complete different story.
