I HAD THE PERFECT, MOST BEAUTIFUL WEDDING OF MY DREAMS AT VERANDA FAMILY RESORT! There is no way I could ever explain all of the different reasons why this resort (and the kind, hardworking family who runs it) deserves the best review I could ever leave. My mom has been taking me to all different places in the cape since I was a little girl. I usually just remember whether it’s a place intended for adults to get together and have fun, or one of the places we take this kids to because they like their pool. I have 3 children now who are 9, 5, and 9 months so needless to say, I never expected to come across a place that was perfect for all 3 of my children, myself, my husband and my mother in all different ways for several reasons. We all were completely fascinated by how much work, creativity and heart was put into creating this resort. When you first arrive or drive by, you are unable to see what the back yard looks like. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. When we came out of the rooms and went towards the back of the resort to see the outdoor pool, all of us were surprised to see the beauty we were walking up to. There are beautiful trees all around the back yard making it feel secluded. As you walk back towards the pool, there is a little man made fire pit built with stones and benches around it. Right next to it is an area with a grill (allowed to be used by people staying) and picnic tables. It made all 3 of us adults feel like we were kids again! Felt like an updated version of all the good parts of camping, but with your hotel room just steps away! There is also a little breakfast room (that reminded me of a little cabin) behind the picnic tables that you can see right into through all glass windows. The door was open and when we went in there was all different breakfast cereal choices for the kids, coffee and other different things the kids got a kick out of choosing. The room/house was put together so creatively that it took my breath away walking into. There is also a side room you walk into through the kitchen which is the room you can see into from outside. Its a dining area with all glass walls for your family to sit together and enjoy breakfast. When we walked out, we noticed there was more to the resort behind the outdoor pool area. There is a huge volleyball net on top of sand. When you continue a few steps further behind the pool was me and my children’s favorite part! 2 chain linked swings under the trees in a sand pit. A hammock which is pushed further towards the back of the yard. Even a baby swing attached to one of the huge trees! There was also one of those swings that doesn’t attach to a tree, you put in the yard and two people sit on and move with their legs going back and forth, facing each other. And my favorite was the old school merry go round steel swing that they put on top of sand to be safe for the kids. It was so beautiful to watch my girls have a blast together running around to each of the swings just being little kids. Walking into the back of Veranda and seeing all of that beauty, so comforting and family oriented, immediately changed both of our minds about eloping. All of us were thinking the same thing.. That this was going to be the place i would get married. I call it fate, because on top of it, they just so happened to be getting it set up for their daughters wedding!! I decided right away I would get married there, and I did a month later!! We rented the property for the night so everyone could come close together and relax having a few drinks then just walk up to their rooms. The owners and their family were just as determined for us to have the perfect wedding as my own family was. We will be going there now whenever we go down the cape. Most definitely making it a family reunion every September, nmw. My wedding and everything about that day/night was absolutely perfect. Love...
Read moreThe Veranda - home for amazing memories, comfort, hospitality and care! When you come to this place you wouldn’t want to leave. It is lovely, incredibly clean, amazing renovations and every detail is carefully thought trough to make your stay the best ever. The owners are the cherry on top of this cake. They treat you like family and are there to take care of anything you need and more. We stayed there for 1 week and I wish I could extend it to a month. Our room was sparkling, the renovation took it to the most modern level you can imagine. The room is huge!! And what a nice consideration to separate bed from the rest of the room by a Snow White curtain - privacy for a sleepy head and others that want to enjoy TV and hang out outside. Did I say a well stocked bathroom with all toiletries - no worry and rush if you forgot something.
I have stayed in 5 stars hotels and they have nothing on The Veranda! We couldn’t wait till the morning to enjoy our coffee outdoor while our puppy played in the backyard. Sports equipment is waiting for you neatly organized there. You want to play basketball while you spouse enjoy the pool - do come to the Veranda!!! Fresh croissant and muffins - what else do you need to make your rest perfect.
The Lovely owners are there from down to sunset - they do make sure you feel welcomed and care for.
Jadwiga, Andrew and Kevin - we and Pepper miss you already and can’t wait to come again. Our stay in your lovely place has been a dream come true! Thank...
Read moreThis is a hidden gem of a hotel! The room had a European minimalistic feel but super clean and cute. The grounds were immaculately kept and were beyond beautiful! Multiple little areas to sit, fire pits, board games, card games, other games and coloring, cozy blankets in case you got cold, greenery and fresh flowers everywhere - it almost looked like a botanical garden inside the beautiful veranda. At night, the veranda has hanging white lights that light it up magically! Dogs are allowed and there’s a dog park area with toys for the pups! The pool is kept clear and clean, big grassy area in the back freshly mowed. Continental breakfast is offered and they have something for everyone! You can make bagels, waffles, pastries, oatmeal, fresh fruits and vegetables, yogurts, nuts.. literally something for everyone’s tastes/diet! Latte machines, coffee and juices. I think the greatest thing was the hospitality and friendliness from all of the staff and other guests! Always a welcoming “good morning” or “hello” that just made the place feel extra cozy! And the location is on Route 28 but not in all of the craziness - just outside so you’re close to the craziness but don’t have to be in it if you don’t want to! I will absolutely be back and would recommend anyone checking out this beautifully kept hotel! You can tell they really put their heart and soul into this...
