I booked a room a week in advance & and check-in time is 3pm. I didn't arrive there until around 3:45 pm & was told that there were no rooms available. I explained to them that I had a reservation & their reply was, "We were completely booked & all the rooms haven't been cleaned yet." That's weird when checkout was at 11am & I didn't get there until almost 5 hours past that. After about a 20 minute wait, I was able to check in. Later that evening, I was sitting on the bed talking on my phone when I seen a bug crawling on the wall. When I got up to get a closer look, I noticed that it was a cockroach. I killed it & immediately took it to the front desk. I showed the clerk & stated that I wanted to take a picture of it for my records b-cuz I wanted a refund & wanted to have the picture for proof just in case of any issues with that. She was refusing to let me take a picture of it at first, but after showing her how adamant I was about it she gave me the tissue with the cockroach in it so I could get the picture of it. She told me that she could move me to a different room & I told her that it didn't matter where I went b-cuz if u have one cockroach, then you have many. After contacting Priceline about the refund, she immediately told me that I was no longer a guest & had to leave. Mind you, it was around 8:30 pm & I had 4 kids with me ages 4-12 & they were all in the pool. She told me they had to get out. I had to get them dressed immediately & leave our in the cold with them after being in the pool. I was extremely upset about this. We found a different hotel about 3 minutes away that is 100x nicer & better amenities for around the same price as what I paid for the Roach Hotel. BEWARE!!!! That wasn't the first bug that was spotted in our room, either. Shortly after we got there, the kids saw one by the door frame, but when I got up to see it, it disappeared into a crack. I'm almost positive that had I been able to see it then it would've been identified as another roach. If you don't want to let any roaches hitch a ride home with you then I suggest to not ever book a room...
Read moreMy wife and I flew into Milwaukee on July 2. We had a reservation through Travelocity for the Super 8 (by Wyndham) for three nights. When we checked in at 2:45 we entered the room (111). The chair in the corner of the room was worn sained. We didn't have any tissues or towels, there were only two small towels on the king size bed, and the door handle to the room did not work properly. We thought we can live with this we are only sleeping here. We left for dinner, as we returned at approx. 9:30 pm we found my bag of airline chips on the dresser had been chewed threw by a mouse or rat. We are not sure as we were not there. I immediately went to the front desk and showed the attendant. I told him I would not make a big deal about it if he gave us a full refund. He didn't seem to have much concern and said tell Travelocity and they will contact me, and I will issue the refund. In the meantime, we immediately left and went to the Holiday inn Express on the other side of the hwy and the discounted our room and completely accommodated us with a great room. After returning home I contacted Travelocity and explained our situation. They called the hotel and the attendant at Super 8 acknowledged that recalled the situation and said that we had stayed for our full stay. Because we did not send pictures to corporate before our stay end that we were out of luck. I am not worried about the $230 we are out, but I would like to help someone else so this Super 8 loses $230 worth of business. See the attached picture. You can see the bite marks in the bag. Unfortunately, I have to give them a 1 star. ...
