Culver’s — Restaurant in Yorkville

I don't typically eat at Culver's. But I wanted to try a fish sandwich but they speak about so often in their commercials. This one was on her way to a destination in wisconsin. So we thought we'd pick this up opportunity to try to fish sandwich and other things. They didn't disappoint. The person I was with had their order a little wrong. And there was no catch up in any of the outlets. So they happily brought some pouches. These pouches of ketchup are a little difficult to open and sometimes can squirt all over the place if you don't have them completely open. This shouldn't have happened since the ketchup in the normal containers should have been filled. But that aside, this Culver's was clean, efficient except for the catch up, and the people were pleasant. Will be going back and forth on 94 several times a year. We will likely stop at this...

My wife and I stopped here Wednesday night, shortly before closing time, and got 2 double burgers to-go. Mine was seriously undercooked and partly raw. My wife's was also undercooked, though not as bad as mine. This is painfully ironic, as I experienced something similar from a different restaurant chain recently. Regardless of that, I was a fool for giving Culver's more chances.

Starting in February 2020, I experienced this four(!) times at Culver's. This is the second one at this specific location. I think there is a systemic problem evident - if it's near closing time or the restaurant is very busy (or both), there's a high likelihood of receiving something that's nowhere near fully cooked. Great service. Fresh and great tasting food and shakes. The best part of visiting this location (Racine, WI @Rte 20 & I94), is the cleanliness and customer service.

I was greeted with a smile and a Hello when I walked in the door. I visited tbe ladies room first and found it to be very clean and well stocked. At the counter, placing my order, the CSR was very nice and efficient in answering my questions and taking my order. While I was waiting for my order (to-go) I noted that the floors were dry, clean and safe, considering the melting snow and salt outside. The drink area was free of debris and well stocked and the dining room was clean. I really enjoyed the theme throughout the store...family and friends.

It was a great visit and I would highly recommend this Culver's location for dining in, to-go...
