We came for the weekend to celebrate a family 50th wedding anniversary. FIRST SURPRISE...This hotel has NO elevator! When the clerk first issued us a room on the 2nd floor, I immediately requested a 1st floor room due to the amount of items we wanted to bring into our room. SECOND SURPRISE....This hotel has NO ammenity or place to unpack your cloths.(so I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're planning more than a few days) because you will have to live out of your suitcase. We used the iron board to place our soft bags on. Kudos to my partner for that invention. THIRD SURPRISE room was musty and smells of a once used smoking room. The hotel is no smoking" but at one time(being a former smoker,) at one time, it allowed smoking I can tell. If you want ice? (No more surprises) their one and only ice machine worked very hard to spit out a half of bucket of ice before giving up and providing nothing else.
On our intended last day (Sunday 10-1-23) we went to have their complementary breakfast and started pouring coffee which looked very strange, (mud like) other guests walked in and said the same thing."there's something wrong with this coffee". I walked over to the front desk and told the clerk on duty (later finding out his name is Milan) that something is wrong. He seemed in an extreme hurry and frustrated and said " In one minute someone will come on duty and help you" he then left. Meanwhile others walked in and out of the breakfast room. The young women who arrived soon after was told about the coffee then was advised they were out of eggs, while others were coming to check in and out. I must give this young women(finding out her name is "Miraha") a special 5 star review, as it appears she wears manys hats at this hotel. She reacted calmly and collectively prioritizing importance. She called "Milan" to get instructions on what to do with the coffee machine and was calmly going step by step with his instructions. Meanwhile we decided to get coffee at the nearby Starbucks and saw "Milan" returning to the hotel as we were leaving.
We were suppose to leave on Sunday, even with a scheduling conflict and the need to stay another day in WI, we had decided to move to another hotel even though staying would be less hassle to move everything just for one more day. But ONLY because of this young woman efforts in how her day started, we decided to extend. She accommodated us again with a smile.
Other than Miraha, I would NOT recommend this hotel for anything than a "Days Stay". Hence their name....
Read moreThis is the second time I have stayed here due to being in town on business. The first time I was here ( even tho I received a refund) they tried to scam me with there vending machine! A purchased a $2.50 cherry coke and had not one but 2 charges for $5.00 ( business men with expense accounts beware !!!) they have a washer and dryer that no matter what you set the dryer at they have it set to where you have to put way to much money in to get your clothes dry ( I had to spend $8 to dry one load! The water pressure in the shower is non existent!!! And they don’t check equipment in the room had a faulty hair dryer that I had been obviously in need of repair for some time that I had to go to the front desk to get a new one. The breakfast is the same every day!!! This is the first place I have stayed that didn’t switch things up a bit!! I’m here for 7 days and have to eat the same thing!! Also I called the front desk when I got here on the the 12/05/23 because I had a late check in ( after 12am) because I wanted to know what time breakfast ended because I wanted to hopefully sleep in a little and didn’t want to miss it. The gentleman at the front desk told me 9:30am. Well today the 7th I went down at 9:20 and the breakfast area was already closed up, all chairs up and lights off. This was a big inconvenience because I had to drive elsewhere and get food, come back and eat it which cost me over an hour that I had scheduled to do much needed work on my computer for work so now am very behind and have to rush to get caught up!! All I can say is I will be reporting this to my corporate office and make sure they never do business with this hotel again!! I strongly suggest that all corporate or other business men to not waste your time with this establishment!! There are 2 other hotels right next to it that would be a much better place to stay!! Don’t waste your time or money with Days Inn here in the...
Read moreThe location was conveniently in the middle of everything we wanted to do. Cleanliness of the hotel was just okay because it was run down and needed repairs. The toilet paper holder featured in the picture below was barely stuck in the wall and every time you wanted toilet tissue it was just asking to fall out onto the floor. The mirror in the main room was discolored from constant cleaning and the carpet had several stains that I just don’t want to know where they came from. On the other hand, the hallway smelled of smoke, but our room had no odor. I called before booking to ask if they had a hot tub and The gentleman who picked up said they had a hot tub and it was working; however, they did not have a hot tub just a pool, but at least it was heated. Breakfast left a lot to be desired; there were limited options, the cinnamon rolls were dry, eggs and sausage were over cooked or dried out, and the batter to make the waffles just didn’t taste right. The only good thing at breakfast was the coffee and orange juice, so, unfortunately we could not enjoy the complementary breakfast and had to eat out. We stayed for two days and at 11 AM on the first day our key card stopped working. It appeared as if it happened to everyone staying more than one day, because there were several of us waiting at the counter. When we went down to get the card serviced they were nice and accommodating, but it was still an inconvenience none the less, because we paid...
