Viajero Hostel Colonia — Hotel in Colonia del Sacramento

a very relaxing week in the dorm 🛌 room 🛏️ they gave me an extra pillow and extra blanket the “free” breakfast was scrambled eggs and toast with a half orange 🍊 and half apple 🍎 and cereal and it was very Tasty 😋 with coffee orange juice water and milk🥛 the only thing i did NOT Understand is WHY the cook allowed the housekeeper Moni to walk behind the counter after she dropped her dirty broom 🧹 and did NOT Wash her hands and touched some food then put it in her mouth then she actually picked at her nose then she picked at the food again ~ i was about ready to NOT eat the free breakfast but instead i forced myself to eat 😢 😡 a big thanks 🙏 goes to front desk staff Maru ~ very Helpful during check in and did her job very well 😃 the location of this hostel is great ~ across the street from a small supermarket with many restaurants and coffee shops very close by ✅ the wifi in the courtyard sitting area was very strong as it was also in my dorm room #1 which is next to the office and the modem during the day all dorm room doors are open and at night you can close the door i still give this Hostel 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ like most tourists backpackers i just came from Montevideo and will now hop on the ferry ⛴️ to Buenos Aires ~...

Great location, beautiful house, but horrible option if you value your sleep.

Apparently the owner hires bad musicians (singing out of tune!) to start playing every night around 00:45 am in the courtyard that links all the bedrooms... On the first night it was even worse. After the gig there was loud music and people partying (including members from the staff) until 3 am so we couldn't sleep at all. It's fine to offer cultural events and parties to the guests, as long as it's properly announced and programmed in a conscious and responsable way...

The room was ok, but the bed blanket was full of weird stains. The showers were few and poorly cleaned (hairs, gillete and a piece of soap stayed on the floor for 3 days...)

The bikes available for rental are basically falling apart. The worse bikes I've ever rode

The staff was not organized at all, we arrived at midday with two people. After check-in we took two beds and the staff took note of it. In the night around 22:00 we went to bed and somebody left stuff on my blanket. I put it aside, thinking someone forgot it.||||At 12:15 midnight someone from the staff was cuffing my leg and shaking my body to wake me up. ",This is not your bed, get out!". After 15 minutes of discussion they found out that they made a mistake in their organization. They let us sleep then, but didn't said anything like a sorry. Then at 2 in the night there was loud music in the inner side of the Hostal, the staff didnt do anything about it. Next day we complained again, we didn't get any sorry or explanation.||||We can not recommended this Hostal, we will not...
