A big shout out to Deborah and Patricia for a well curated excursion to Colonia

I can't thank Deborah (from Colonia Experiences) enough for helping me through the entire day trip to Colonia. She helped with advice on which bus to take, the ferry to Buenos Aires and even helped to book my bus ticket since my credit card won't work on the bus booking website. She also accompanied me to the port herself and guided me there.

Patricia, my guide for the trip, really knew her stuff well - she gave me really good insights on not just Uruguay but all of Latin America. She ensures that she covers enough ground and explains everything in detail such that you go back with a lot of learnings.

All of this at costs much lesser than the market...

This tour was one of my best experiences on my trip to Buenos Aires! It was easy to get to Uruguay even with a last min decision. They met me at the ferry and within minutes Francisco and I were off biking through the old city. Not the normal tour of museums, Galleries etc. but a true adventure from a local who has great passion and personal experiences being from and living there. We had a fabulous time at Vinoteca de la Colonia when we visited Colonia del Sacramento on Jan. 12th. The wines were delicious and well-paired with a variety of meats and cheeses. The staff spoke English and did a great job talking about the different wines. The shop is in a charming location where you can observe the town. Would absolutely recommend anyone to do this tasting as it was a great way to enjoy wine from Uruguay if you are there...
