Nazarxan Hotel — Hotel in Samarkand City

Very bad comportment with us. She gaves us the room, we did not had remooved our shoes she asked instantanly money, we stayed 2 nights she could wait a little bit we put our lugguages and install ourself (is guest house familly home). We looked each other like first impression we are not welcomed at all, she s interessed just in money. The evening we ask about to wash our clothes. When we asked next day our things, she said "the water is very very expensive and the product, many clothes many water" blabla, like to justificate herself for what is going on. We had a small bag less than 3kg, she ask 2 usd for each clothes, we was thinking we would not see again our clothes (means around 20 usd for a simple washing, serious ??), arguing 20 mins in the cold, we just wanted to get some rest after a long day exploring the city, and sleep before taking the night train. When we said again we will not take breakfast, she finally accept to give us back our clothes for the first Price she said who was fair. She even ask us the key at 3h30 am when we left (we said before we will leave the key inside), not even thanks or good bye. We did not feel good energy in this place, too much. We travel lot in this country, other places like this you can wash for free your clothes.

Very clean guesthouse. Strong AC and reliable and relatively good wifi for the area. Our room had a smart TV which was a nice bonus. The bathroom was good and had plenty of hot water. Always appreciated is a free water dispenser! Breakfast was okay. Tea, coffee available and a slight variation in the breakfast choice available. Strangely there was no bread all 3 mornings but always cheeses etc.

Only downside of this place - they try and rip you off and squeeze a bit more out of you. We came without a booking and knew the price from booking.com. They first quoted a higher price. Same for laundry. 7 USD for one load. Other guesthouses do it...

The guesthouse was well run. The room didnt have windows but was clean and had an AC. The breakfast spread was decent and they tried to offer different things.

We didnt like that laundry was so expensive and found another...
