Shohjahon Palace Hotel & Spa — Hotel in Samarkand City

We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. Although it’s rated 4 stars, it offers amenities and service comparable to some 5-star hotels. Our room was spacious, featuring a balcony, a spotless bathroom, and four complimentary bottles of water although we are a couple. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, arranging our private visit to the SPA and swimming pool, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was delicious, with a wider and better selection than some nearby 5-star hotels.The only downsides were the location of the rooms, which are separate from the main building, the absence of an elevator, and open-air corridors connecting the rooms to the dining and SPA areas. This can be uncomfortable during colder months like February, so dressing warmly is advisable.This hotel is definitely THE BEST DEAL you can find in the area and it's just 10 minutes walk from the main attraction...

The service and location were great. In terms of the hotel room itself, it was okay, but not great. The bathroom was very hot, and it seemed the AC didn't reach there. To make a queen bed, they pushed two twins together, and there is a strange and hard divet in the middle of the bed that hurt my back when I woke up. I appreciated the baths and sauna, but they could've been cleaner.What I took issue with was the random people loitering in the hotel courtyard. I had a random man come up to me who wasn't staying in the hotel who asked me if I was a **. I appreciated that the hotel took quick action when they heard about this, but I think there should be better security in...

Really enjoyed my stay here. The location is great, just about a 10-minute walk to Registan, with a few restaurants and stores nearby. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even helping us get things delivered that we couldn't find on Yandex. They have cold beer available as well, which is a really great bonus in a place like Uzbekistan. Their sauna and cold pool were lovely and clean and an amazing way to detox the body during the hot summer days. Will definitely return to stay here on my next trip...
