I recently stayed at Hotel Marwa in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel was clean, modern, and located in a great spot—just a short walk to the bazaar. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to assist with anything I needed. The room was spotless, and the bed was extremely comfortable, making my stay relaxing.
However, I did have a couple of issues. First, the breakfast was terrible. There were so many options, but most of the food looked like it was leftover from dinner or lunch. It was a strange mix—everything from chicken curry to fried hot dogs—and none of it seemed fresh or appealing. I think they should focus on offering fewer options but with better quality.
My second complaint was about the spa. They didn’t provide any towels or soap, which I found quite odd. After waiting 25 minutes for a towel, the receptionist told me I should have brought one from my room, but no one mentioned that when I booked the spa. Also, the floor was extremely slippery with no warning signs, and it didn’t seem like it had been cleaned after the previous guest. There wasn’t an emergency phone or intercom either, which was concerning since the spa is reserved for one person at a time. I almost fell twice, and if I had needed help, no one would have known.
Despite these issues, I can't say enough good things about the staff. They were genuinely kind, and on the day of my early checkout, they even packed me a breakfast to go, which was a nice touch. Overall, a decent stay with a few areas that need...
Read moreI have nothing but positive things to say about my stay at Marwa. |The staff were incredible to myself and my parents. Mohammed and Negina were were also especially amazing and took extra care of my elder parents and I from the moment we arrived. We landed at 3am and my father had forgotten his luggage at the airport - while this was an extremely stressful situation it all passed so quickly and painlessly, thanks to Mohammad going above and beyond to help us act quickly to recover it. He then continued to make sure we were cared for throughout - my mum was in tears at his generosity throughout the visit. |Negina had so much positivity and made us laugh so much. She also added special touches like cutting the fruit we bought from the market and bringing it to us for our spa appointment or calling us when we were out on a tour to make sure everything was going as expected. ||We would be excited to come back to the hotel at the end of the day and tell the staff about our days.|Throughout the stay they made our Tashkent trip special, my parents were so sad to leave as was I because this was a whole other level of hospitality and we truly felt as if they were like family and friends by the end of our stay. If you are visiting Tashkent please don’t miss this spot - I intend to go back again just because of how special the...
Read moreFive stars were not adequate to reflect the true quality of this hotel. If only I could have given six stars! Staff at the reception or restaurant had very good command in English and were very friendly and helpful. They always wore a smile and had tremendously favourable attitudes to help people. breakfast was good and nutritious. The hotel was conveniently situated at the city centre of Tashkent, Uzbekistan, which was very close to the Chorsu Bazaar. actually one could walk to the bazaar in 5 to 10 minutes. I was swept off my feet by the quality services and amenities. The pool and spa was a must try for anyone residing in the hotel. I booked the amenities by appointment on a daily basis and they were so good. when I checked out they called a Yandex taxi for me for free. It left a very favourable impression on me. Not only this, two days upon I checked out I received a phone call when I returned back to my home city of Hong Kong. They asked whether I’d left some clothes in the hotel room and I replied to them those clothes were no longer wanted and could be disposed of. this is an example of how meticulous the service they provided and they always stood from the viewpoint of...
