Intercity Hotel Tashkent by Maskan — Hotel in Tashkent

It's not often that I leave 1 star reviews on hotels... Where to even begin. AVOID this hotel at all costs. So many wrong things with this hotel.

First we arrive at around 10pm on the first day and the reception guy which almost doesn't speak English greets us by ignoring us and blatantly playing games in his smartphone while we were right in his face talking to him. Next he said we needed to pay cash even though it said in booking that we could pay by card and he even had the charging machine right in front of us, he just didn't know how to use it. We ended up paying half by cash half by card the next morning.

We had to ask for towels since there was only one in the room, and there was no foot towel either.

There's no hot water, the water is lukewarm at best, the hot water only lasts for 2 minutes and then gets lukewarm.

Rooms, bathrooms and wifi were at least decent but I suspect it's only because the hotel is very new. Also rooms are basement level so you won't get any view but will get all the dust from the streets if you leave your "window/door" open.

Breakfast was buffet and okay, not a lot of variety as other hotels here.

Last but most important. They wouldn't give us the registration slips we need for the airport. We stayed for 3 nights but only gave us the skip for one night saying that he couldn't do anything because the guy that checked us in "did it after midnight the first day" even though we got there at 10pm. Even though we payed for all 3 nights. We are on our way to the airport and hoping they won't give us any trouble because if not we'll have to end up paying the fine. We didn't have this problem in any other hotel we stayed in our 2 weeks in Uzbekistan.

Overall there are PLENTY of CHEAPER AND BETTER hotels in Tashkent so don't waste your time or money on this one if you don't want to spare yourself the headache. Bad,...
