Read moreBed sheets left us itching wholenight. Carpets inside the room are terribly dirty. Good breakfast food though. The most frightening experience we had was when we came back to hotel on our second day, we were informed that they have transferred our luggages on a different room WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION! They we t inside the room and touched our private belongings WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION! We left that day with luggages open, and private belongings all over the place, and the hotel staff casually took everything and placed it on a different room. We were outraged as this was simply Tresspassing! and violation of our privacy as guests! They had our number and did not inform us! Now we had to spend the night checking if something was missing or if any foreign object was inserted in our luggages during the transfer, as we are going to fly to khiva next morning and go thru customs! We don’t to be surprised in the airport with foreign objects in our luggages! Called the owner and said this is how he runs his hotel. Called it even “international norm” that hotels clean or transfer the belongings of guests with or WITHOUT the permission of guests. International norm?! 😫 Good food during breakfast, but terrifying “house rules!” The owner himself even explicitly said he does it all the time! Good luck if you...
Read moreThe district in which the hotel is located is currently being completely rebuilt. The streets and buildings are being completely renovated or redeveloped. Taxis cannot pull up directly in front of the hotel as all the roads are being torn up. The construction work is going on around the clock, which means that even at 4 a.m. directly in front of the hotel, i.e. also in front of the room window, the excavators are driving around and heavy machinery is making noise. The noise was so loud that it was extremely disruptive to our sleep. We had to lift our baby carriage over rubble and building materials in front of the hotel. Then we had to drive the baby carriage 10 cm past huge excavators. It is actually outrageous to run the hotel in this state. (cf. attached pictures taken from our room) The breakfast was unkind. A plate is served under cellophane wrap in a pizza box. I didn't really eat any of it. They only clean up after breakfast is finished. The beds are way too soft. The shower is not working well, no pressure, just...
