Room was clean, housekeeping was amazing. Unfortunately for me, we requested houzekeeping on the first night but it was not done. Also i stained the bed and had to pay 50k for laundry fee. Shower facilities was good. I love the extreme hot water BUT the waterflow was very low. So if you like strong pressure when showering, this might be a disappointment. When you face the hotel, the night market will be on the right so this road to the hotel was closed due to the pasarmalam but theres an alternative road from the left. No issue riding in n out during night market time slots. For the motorbikes, you can park directly infront of the nail shop which is also theirs, and night time they will park it inside n lock it up. Morning, it will be out again. I requested for printing of my plane tickets as i realised my flight required hardcopy but unfortunately there wasnt any paper in this hotel. They were good enough to help get it from the neighbours. I asked them at 2am and again at 7am and my flight was 1pm so there was more thn enough time so i only had a slight panic attack when they said they did not have paper. If i was in a rush this might not been a good impression. Next up, the hotel also does not have a weighing scale so i left extremely early to repack my luggage at the hotel. Other than that the family who took care of the hotel was rather friendly but there was a huge verbal communication problem. Most communication was done through google translate. If you ask me, i might probably try another hotel the next time i come as i believe there might be others who might be able to serve even better but honestly the price is worth the stay and location. So...
Read moreThe staff are friendly, the room is clean, one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in and a good hot shower. However, all this doesn't matter because it is literally impossible to sleep at night, maybe with industrial earmuffs you might. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every single sound from outside, let me explain.
The hotel's location is right next to the night market. You'd think that's a good thing but no, it will be your biggest nightmare. You can safely say this hotel is located near the holy trinity of noise pollution. I will rank them from least to most decibel.
First, about 200m from the hotel are both a primary and secondary school. On school days at 7 AM a broadcast will start, loud enough for you to hear and get woken up by. Besides that the school isn't too loud.
Second, the Son Tra night market is right next door. The market is open every single day until midnight, however the most noise will be when they clean up the place which usually lasts until 2 AM.
No worries you might think, I'm a late sleeper anyways. Good luck with that because the third issue is that there is a 24/7 construction site opposite of the hotel. Yes, 24/7, you can hear the excavators going the whole night. Listen to the video I made with windows closed at 4 AM, it was impossible to sleep.
The hotel is not bad at all. If they had proper soundproofing I would definitely rate it 5 stars but for now I would never stay here again and unless you are not effected by noise (I'm a light sleeper so even with earplugs I wake up when the noise gets too loud) I would not...
Read moreA very good budget hotel. The main downside for me was that there was too much noise and light coming into the room, so I had trouble sleeping, especially in the early morning (the blackout curtains don't cover the sides of the window). You should bring earplugs and an eye mask. Another problem is that the water pressure in the shower is low (but not terrible) and it takes about 2 minutes for the hot water to start. Also, I did not enjoy the location - I thought I'd like to be next to the night market but turns out it's not an area you want to stay in (nothing to do there during daytime). My An is way better. But the hotel itself is very nice and good value for money (a king sized room without a view was around 340k Dong). It was clean, the bed was comfortable (not hard like other places), the TV had YouTube and Netflix (if you log in with your own account), the WiFi and A/C worked great and there was house keeping in the room every day. Fresh towels and two bottles of water daily. The front desk service was good. The shower is separated from the rest of the bathroom so you don't get water all over the room (like in many other places in Vietnam). Fridge and kettle in the room, but no safe. The lobby is a mess and you have to climb a few steps to get to it but I didn't mind it so much. I recommend this place if you have a reason to stay...
