Here my story for stay,
We booked room for 5 nights from 19th till 24th of May. Business travel First day, book the room dorm by ( owner on first desk ) but sleep in dorm with 2 beds hanging on top of your head.
Note- do not stay second last floor before Terrece. ( crazy drunkers noise from roof dinner dining ).
Two major problem for bed room.
Second day, booked new room for another new price on 1st floor. No view no tidy walls. No ventilation system in room and toilet. Sometime smell of urine because all thing running down from upper floors.
Note- not a write place to invite friends or team members.
Third day, next door drunk German and chille bag packers. Banging door like hammering all building into vibrations. From 10 pm till 12:25 Am.
Noted- owners dont care about how to keep peace in building. Copying ideas is not the only thing to get success in business. There have no management skills in hospitality business. Management just to track sales.
So, we decided to go to drunk neighbours & ask there names to call police. After 20 min of this converatstion. Everything in peace.
Forth day, Night staff in reception push my team members to leave the mooka house becuase they have a law that guest can not stay after 11 pm.
Fifty & day night!! Affer such high quality experience, we decided not to make any business conference anywhere in building. So we can hotel at 12:10 Am. And find all the doors were closed. We knock, ring bell, the doors abiut 2 hours. Aslo call and message them from different numbers. But no body Come to open the door. We really dont want to shout loudly because all da lat was sleeping.
We also think to call police, but we didn't.
So we decided to sleep out in the door all night COLD!!! At 5:30 Am they send us a message in words sorry and sleep. No one open the door after they send message. So we wait and decided to search fore coffee)).
So you can understand everything. Common Fancy building.
This place really need shut down until they don't learn and get certify from Vietnam republic.
That have no knowledge of customer service.

Read moreBackpacker travelling in Vietnam? No questions asked you should book this place in Dalat. The place is calm, it's not a party hostel. Everything here is clean and organized. The BBQ dinner every other day - You need to attend one of these for sure. The breakfast is sooo good. And they have coffee, tea and bananas 24/7 for free. They sort the tours for you if you want to go on one. You'll need to ask them, they won't ask you to go on a tour. I went on one tour and it was an amazing country side tour. They have the best local vendors for this. I also rented a bike from them for 150k dong, which is reasonable. One day my bike had trouble (flat tire), I called them and they (the lady's dad) showed up and gave me another bike and asked me to go it took like 30mins. This made me understand how easy my life became with this hostel. The rooms have curtains and beds are very comfortable. They give you a towel, shampoo, soap, locker and basically anything you think of they'll sort it. The lady and her family live on the top floor so they are always there. They have snacks, drinks, beers, ciggerates at the hostel. You don't need to pay a penny until you check out. Also, my check-in which was late at night as my bus was late, I just sent them my ID and they had me self-check in gave me the door code and kept my locker keys, towel at reception for me to collect - also gave me directions to my bed. Like wow, they know what they are doing. I booked for a day and extended it to stay for 5 days. Probably the best hostel where I have seen everything so well planned and organized. Not kidding! Also, they have buses where the bus will pick you up at the hostel and are cheaper than the apps we book from. They didn't even ask me to leave a review which everyone does these days, and hence I went an extra mile to do this. Also, one last thing you don't need A/C here in Dalat like other...
Read moreI was initially hesitant to book my stay at Mooka's Home since it had fewer reviews than some of the other hostels in the area. After much deliberation, I decided to take the plunge and book for 2 nights, keeping my options open to extend or move elsewhere. Well, moving was clearly not on the agenda because I ended up extending my stay for another 2 nights! Van, the owner, is an absolute gem—one of the sweetest hosts I’ve met. She’s incredibly friendly and genuinely interested in how your day went, offering personal recommendations that made my stay even better. The rooms were clean, spacious, and the beds were super comfortable.
Now, the only gripe I had was with the shower, which had exactly two temperature settings: 'death by lava' or 'fresh cold mountain stream.' That said, Van more than made up for it with a great selection of breakfast options at fantastic prices. The food was tasty, affordable, and super convenient. Van also organized a BBQ every other day on the rooftop. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by the plentiful and delicious options, making it a great way to break the ice and make friends with others staying at the hostel. The rooftop, open daily until 10:30 pm, has a great sitting area and a pool table, and there’s also a cozy common area downstairs by the reception with plush chairs, bean bags, and tables for eating or working.
Overall, Mooka's Home exceeded my expectations, and I’m so glad I decided to stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a welcoming, comfortable, and social...
