Q House — Hotel in Da Lat City

This is my first time travel solo, i don't even have experience to choose a hostel. why i choose q house is because of the price, it's cheap! when i go in to the room, it's very clean and tidy. There have a curtain for every bunk bed, with a very good privacy. I can't believe the price that i paid is including breakfast, very worth for it even though there only have three choices for breakfast which is fried omelette, fried egg, and fried noodles. The location of q house is at centre of dalat, so it's quite easy for me to walk around da lat. The owner and the staff are very helpful and very nice to talk. Cannot fault the location or staff, centrally located and they were courteous and diligent. ||With that said, the rooms were in need of ventilation or a fan. Bathrooms in both rooms needed extensive renovation and repairs, neither of our rooms were cleaned in 5 nights of our stay. The resident cockroach drove us to madness (considered leaving and paying for a different hotel). The drains were horrendous. With the shower not having an extractor fan the room was damp the entire time. ||The policy of locking the guests into the first floor behind a steel door over night is damn near barbaric and outright dangerous should an emergency require urgent exit. ||Coffeeshop was...

My boyfriend and I arrived a lot earlier than planned due to the crazy night bus, but workers welcomed us into a dorm (each bunk is similar size to queen size beds) and arranged for us to transfer to the correct q hostel the next morning. The q hostel chain is actually five different hostels (q1, q2 , q3 etc) near each other, front of house is decked out like a modern coffee shop (Vietnamese coffee is brilliant at q2 where we stayed) and the hostels are undergoing modernisation as we were there.
