Golden Lotus Airport Hotel & Travel — Hotel in Hà Nội

Leaves a little something to be desired.

My flight was late arriving and so I was delayed by 1 day and emailed them. I was quite late the next day and unable to contact them on the plane and so they claimed that they upgraded my room to a double bed because it was the only one left since they didn’t know I was coming and they gave my original room away so I had to pay more. No problem I can do that. But when I got into the room it only had 1 bed. A little skeptical but not the biggest deal or loss of money.

The worst part for me was that they claimed I needed to check out at 7 am? I have never stayed in a place where I had to check out so early. I’m not sure why they said that, but I didn’t complain since I had to leave to get another flight in the morning anyways.

The second worst thing was I didn’t sleep a wink. The beds were hard as a rock and it was beside the window which had constant honking from the street even with the windows closed.

Facilities were clean enough, very close to the airport and staff was friendly but those mentioned above are my 2 biggest gripes and the inconvenience of it all was exacerbated by the fact I had just spent almost 2 days traveling (due to my delayed flights). Good for a short stay, close to airport.

I arrived from another city very late and didn't had connection to book a last minute hotel. When I arrived 3 am, the hotels nearby didn't wanted to accept walk-in saying rooms not available. But the staff of this hotel were outside and as soon as they saw me, they asked if I wanted a room. No much formalities, paid at desk by card and checked in. Rooms may not be luxury but enough to let you sleep for a short stay. AC in my room was not working or unplugged. But there was a fan and I accepted it because...

I needed a room very late because I couldn't fly due to foodpoisining and this hotel was the only one to accept me. The room was clean with two bottles of water complementary. I had my much needed rest and when I was still feeling sick the next day, the hotel owner, his wife and staff took great care of me. I felt safe and in good hands.
