We had a great stay at Golden Holiday Hotel and Spa.
From the moment I booked until checkout, the hotel reception/admin were very prompt with communication.
When we arrived, they upgraded our room for free and were very friendly an engaging during breakfast and before we would head out for our day’s activities.
The bedroom and bathroom were both spacious and equipped with a soft bed, a mini fridge, air-conditioning, good lighting and a bathtub.
The staff and reception were very accommodating and efficient with our requests. One afternoon, our bathroom sink wasn’t draining, so we told the reception, and when we came back later that evening, it was fixed.
The breakfast spread was pretty balanced, from fruit, dairy products, grains and cereal, to breads, meat, vegetables, rice, noodles and eggs you can order.
The Spa also offers massages. My husband got one and it was pretty good. 9/10.
The facilities were also good. They had a small gym good for just a few people, and when I went, I always had the gym to myself. The gym has one treadmill, one stationary bike, dumbbells, a barbell and a weight bench that could be used for leg presses. It also had air-conditioning.
Beside the gym was a small- to medium-sized pool with outdoor showers and lounge chairs.
The hotel also has free bikes you can use to get around Hoi An, which made getting around extremely convenient. It dropped travel time from 45 minutes walking to 15 minutes biking to get to An Bang beach, and from 15 minutes walking to 5-8 minutes biking to get to the old town.
The only critique I have would be that sometimes the staff would be a little too friendly and engaging at breakfast, when at times I would prefer to enjoy a little more solitude. Despite this, we definitely felt very well cared for...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Golden Holiday Hotel, and the experience was nothing short of fantastic. The standout feature of this establishment is undoubtedly its incredibly kind and helpful staff. From the moment we checked in, the team went above and beyond to acquaint us with the local gems, recommending excellent places to explore and delightful eateries to try. Their genuine hospitality made us feel not just like guests but welcomed members of an extended family.
One of the perks that added immense value to our stay was the complimentary cycles provided by the hotel. Exploring the surroundings on these bikes was a delightful way to immerse ourselves in the destination. The convenience of having this option at no additional cost truly set Golden Holiday Hotel apart. Furthermore, the mornings became a highlight thanks to the sumptuous breakfast served by the pool. The picturesque setting, combined with a delectable spread, created a perfect start to each day.
The accommodations were another standout feature – the rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and offered excellent value for money. The hotel's commitment to providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay was evident in the attention to detail and the range of amenities available. Additionally, the hotel facilitated our transportation needs with a commendable pick-up and drop-off service at a reasonable rate, showcasing their dedication to ensuring a hassle-free experience for guests. Overall, Golden Holiday Hotel exceeded our expectations, making our stay...
Read moreWow, there's so much love at this hotel, and they're not afraid to show it. The warm and genuine welcome we received from the staff carried all the way through our entire stay. They took care of everything to make us happy and comfortable, and always treated us with kindness and respect.
The room and property are well appointed. We had a clean and private room with a balcony and spacious bathroom. The ceiling fan and A/C kept things cool at night, and there was no issue with noise.
Each morning at the restaurant is a delicious breakfast buffet with fresh fruit (including mango — I have say this), pastries, juices, Vietnamese and Western dishes, coffee, and a respectable selection of vegetarian foods.
Things quiet down in the afternoon, and the pool and restaurant areas are ideal for relaxing or getting some work done (internet speeds are good).
The hotel is ideally located, too: walking distance to the Old Town and countless restaurants/coffee, but also walking distance to the rice fields, and biking distance to the beach. Since we're runners, we got to enjoy morning runs in the stunning rice fields of Hoi An. The rice fields are huge, so you could run for miles and miles.
Of course, the reason our stay was so wonderful is because of all the people who work here: Mr. Ha, Ms. Sue, Ms. Dzung, Ms. Thuy, Ms. Sa, Ms. Thao, and the entire housekeeping, bell, and restaurant staff. These are wholehearted people who will make you feel at...
