A Spa Hotel with huge potential
I have given this a four-star because of my current downsides below. However, it should be noted this is a new build and written just following the pandemic when travel has not yet fully come back to Hoi Ann peaks before the pandemic
However, on my next visit to Hoi An, I will 100% be choosing this hotel again. I fully expect this hotel to fix these small things and be seen as a future small 5* hotel spa and retreat. You could see a lot of effort and love put into this place; it’s only a matter of time.
Located next to the Thu Bon river (a wide sweeping river) with mysterious misty mountains in the distance, this hotel offers breathtaking views. Due to its position outside Hoi An, and a little off the beaten track, you can expect blissful quiet. The hotel is very newly built and finished to a very high specification that you would expect from any five* hotel building, and this includes the room, lobby, dining area, pool area, and Spa. Wifi is available throughout the whole facilities and internet bandwidth was good. The pool is on the small side but is located with a full river view. Breakfast was simple, but cooked-to-order requests are acceptable, like a poached egg, etc... However, no Continental or American/British options are available - everything, however, is well prepared to a high standard. Dinner options are, however, limited to Vietnamese only. On our last day, we took advantage of a massage in the Spa, which was beautiful... All the staff is very customer experience focus, and the majority speak ok English.
Due to the hotel being new, it does currently have some downsides that they need to fix The roof in the dining area leaked when it rained Due to being outside or town, you have to take either a taxi or bike (which they will provide complimentarily) to enjoy any tourist spots The spa was great and fully equipped but not yet fully functioning (jacuzzi/Sauna not turned on), and they have a space laid out for a GYM but are yet to put any gym equipment in it. The aircon in the room did not fully function and would not cool the room below 22c, and you also had to stand right under it to make it work with the remote Dinner options are limited to Vietnamese only The bar was not yet open It could be hard to find - I highly recommend you request an airport pickup when booking your room TV was modern with prime, Netflix etc but was not connected to...
Read moreHoi An is a place I hold dear and this resort played a big role. We spent 5 days and 4 nights at Nghê Prana Villa & Spa Hội An and I can easily say that it was the highlight of our Vietnam trip. This beautiful resort overlooks the scenic Thu Bon river and one can easily see the hills in the distance when the clouds clear up.
It’s a bit far from the Old Town (around 30 mins walk), but the resort offers a free shuttle service twice a day and you can easily make your way back via a cheap taxi ride. The distance from the main tourist places is actually a bonus as you get to enjoy and unwind in the serenity of this property. The resort also offers a reasonably priced shuttle service to and from Da Nang airport. The breakfast was excellent with a lot to choose from, along with a live counter for egg/pho dishes. The restaurant menu was a bit limited and slightly pricey but delicious nonetheless. The spa facilities are wonderful and the pool, although on the smaller side, offers a stunning view.
I especially want to mention how pleasant and affable the staff at Nghê Prana Villa is. They really made us feel at ease and were always up for a friendly chat. Thanks to Ms. Phu, Ms. Nee, Ms. Ngan and the cook for being enthusiastic and friendly.
I am definitely going to stay here again. Highly...
Read moreI only have good things to say about this place. Buffet style breakfast included every morning was very good with tons of variety changed daily, rooms were beautiful with private patios and AC, premium details, clean every day.
Staff was incredibly helpful and nice. Checked in late and checked out early. The sweetest gentleman stayed up late to get us checked in okay. Extremely accommodating and so so nice. The front desk ladies helped us book a very early morning airport shuttle and prepared breakfast boxes for us which was great.
Laundry on premises was easy/cheap and turned around 24 hours. Pool is divine especially with how hot it is in Hoi An. Happy hour at the bar runs 12-5 PM, bogo drinks.
Theres a free daily hotel shuttle into the city that runs 10 AM and 6 PM each day. That’s my only quip is that it’s not central to old town and it takes a while to walk by foot (30 min). Grab cars will have to drop you on the main road and you will walk down a skinny alleyway street about half a block long (very short, takes a couple min) to get to front of property so be prepared. (Our car dropping us off at night was not and had a hard time/was getting turned around before we just hopped out).
I would definitely stay here again though for the deal and quality of place...
