-Highly recommend a deluxe king size bed room with a balcony. don’t pick another room if you are traveling as a couple. -Motorcycles rental is 150,000VND/24hrs. it comes with an empty gas tank and you have to put some gas. Tank max cap is 3L and full gas is about $3. you will only need 1.5L or so to go to My son sanctuary, coconut basket boat forest and near by Beaches. The whole trip took about 6-8hrs. (total km used 100km) so it is very convenient to rent a motorcycle. was easy to get around with the motorcycle. -bike rent is for free. Ask the owner where to park the bike inside Hoi An center areas (5000VND) and walk inside the town. -no water bottles/coffee or tea bags provided in the room so you will have to go buy as needed. -Electric pot was in the room -Recommend to bring your bath gel and shampoo/conditioner as what they give are a tiny tiny soap bar and a travel size shampoo pouch. you have to ask for refill every day. -breakfast is only two choices 1. omelette and a baguette or 2. Vietnamese noodles and a fruit. It seems the owner decides what to provide. No selection. Coffees and teas are provided during the breakfast. Laundry is $2 per kg. Make sure you ask in which currently you have to pay and how much. whatever you ask the owner questions make sure you write the answers down. it will help prevent any misunderstanding or mistake at a later time. -there is a convenient store near by (win mart) 1min-away location. -the owner is nice and easy. -This lodge is 15min walk to the center Hoi An and it is quiet location. -you have to take off your shoes at the lodge entrance and they will let you use their shower sandals. if you prefer using your own bring your own disposable slippers. -AC works well and shower pressure was good. but there was a couple times that hot shower were run out and had to wait till the...
Read moreOne of the best places we’ve stayed in South East Asia. The rooms are big, super clean and a bath!! A bath!!! (With shower option) Bed is super comfy! Tv with great channels for movies if weather is bad. The AC is great as super quiet but with tall ceilings and tile floor it’s not super necessary to have on as the room stays pretty cool. The family are so lovely and helpful. For breakfast we’ve had our fair share of eggs and bread or pancakes but honestly the omelettes here are so lovely and fresh with onions and peppers! We were offered noodle soup for breakfast one morning and it was absolutely delicious (not your regular Pho, more like a breakfast dish) They offered to help if we needed to book anything like tours or transport but weren’t pushy as we’ve had in many places. We had to check out early one (6am) and the night before the owner brought us some bread, water, butter and boiled eggs for our breakfast the morning after. Free bikes! Free bikes! Free bikes! And an offer of where to park for free in the old town (in front of her sisters shop, normally you have to pay to park) Have seen a few comments about location but honestly - it’s 15 minute walk to old town but you don’t wanna be right there as it’s SO loud anyway! If you stay here you are in the perfect middle of the beach and the town. It’s awesome, and with free bikes - it’s 5-10 mins to both! Thank you for having us!
Oh and I needed to print something for later in our trip and of course they were more than happy to...
Read moreI had a comfortable stay here would definitely return. Quite street only short walk to convenience store, big room, comfy bed, balcony to street and quite aircon. Clean and great value..surprised it's only 2 star. Emily was a lovely host -bright and easy going her manner and English was a bonus for any questions. Allowed me to borrow the house guitar. Easy walk to CBD that has everything and at the far end of Emily's street some of the best and cheapest eateries where many local workers eat. Amazing! See photo for name. Breakfast was a treat. The legendary Hoi An Banh Mi baguette was by far the best I had in Vietnam. Light crunch crust perfect crumb. You cant find this recipe online only the Hoi An bakers know it. True! Baguette,2 egg veg omolette or fried eggs . fresh fruit and Viet coffee. Perfect! Bikes were there free to use. The walk to the beach approx one hour well worth going the direct route through the vegie growing areas among the water buffalo and friendly locals working away. Classic! Swim at the beach in crystal clear water with white sand and some bodysurfing waves. Have a break on way back buy assorted fresh fruit chopped up to order from roadside truck ..too easy. The value for money is head shackingly...
