Home Away Ký Con — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

We (2 parents + 1 small child) stayed for a week in August in a standard studio on the 1st floor. The staff provided an extra mattress and blanket so we can all sleep comfortably. 2 windows let in enough light although there is no view, just a wall of the other house. The room feels spacious with ample storage shelf so we can easily walk around without kicking our luggage. Full size kitchen with big fridge, kettle, microwave, eletric stove and some utensils. Only 1 plastic chair in the room. Bathroom is big enough, but everthing gets wet when you shower – there should be a simple glass wall or at least a shower curtain. The wet floor can be very slippery, I had a bad fall. The hanging rack almost falls off the wall. The towels are very small and old. I have free drinking water and laundry though. The entrance to the building can look very unattractive. Ký Con is not a touristry area - they sell motorbike spare parts so it look dark and smell oily. You'll have to walk further down the street to any decent restaurants and convenient stores, navigating the non-existent pavement because the motorbikes parking there. The room itself is good enough, but I wish I had chosen better locations, such as Đặng Thị Nhu or Minh Khai... All the staff are super friendly, polite and helpful. Very easy to communicate...

If you’re looking for a room to stay for couple days - weeks in the heart of Saigon, with all the convenience from in to outside, and to feel like you’re actually at “Home”, this is the one!

I came in to check the room once then decided to book my stay right after, and I could not be happier with my pick. At the end I was even a bit sad to leave “Home”!

The service and staff are amazing and extremely helpful. Danh was my contact point for the whole stay and he’s the best of best, always accommodating. Other staffs were also lovely & soooo kind.

The location is superb - close enough to the center with everything you need in walking distance, easy to travel to other D3, D10 or 4 and further away from the crazy big loud main roads. The neighborhood is also very calm & chill, which is perfect for your sleep.

There’s a teething problem that there’s quite a lot of ants in the kitchen area though we always cleaned everything after cooking. I guess it’s just unavoidable in hot climate!

Our whole stay at the place was amazing. The staffs are very accommodating and helpful, the room was clean and spacious and the location of the place is great for tourists since it's nearby the famous spots of ho chi minh and at the same time away from the hustle and bustle so we have peaceful nights during our whole stay.

The apartment is definitely worth it and we will probably book this again if...
