Not sure how to go about this review because I don't know where to start. I was there for 4 nights and there was loud noises every day from the lift which affected my sleep. On my first night, someone was ringing the doorbell and banging the doors for almost an hour. On my last night, there was loud shouting from other guests (foreign language that is not Vietnamese or any of the Asian languages I can recognize) at 3am in the morning.
Room #302 door handle. They tried to be techy and installed a digital doorknob, which was really terrible experience everyday for me trying to open the door because it's always not working well. I am always stuck outside my room for at least 30 minutes because of the door knob and the staff doesn't respond until hours later.
The Netflix didn't work either, they didn't consider to check all the setup before each guest check-in. But ironic that they put up a sign saying guests will be fined for changing any of the setup.
Additionally, the floors are dirty. Don't think they clean or mop the floors between each stay. They rent out the rooms as Airbnb as well, the westerner guests perhaps wear their shoes inside and walk around.
The toilet of #302 is also very smelly. I have to wash it myself with detergent everyday because of the bad smell. They should perhaps consider to put an air freshener in the toilet.
My room wasn't cleaned the whole stay of 4 nights (5 days). Not sure if they can call themselves a "hotel" if they don't have housekeeping.
Too many areas for improvement. Not keen...
Read moreThe location is very convenient since it's in the Ben Thanh area, so coffee shops, parks, markets, and places of interest are walkable. They lock the alley (Ku Pho Van Hoa, photo attached, where the place is located) at 12mn, but the hotel staff provides videos and instructions of accessing the alley key, and sets up a passcode for visiting guests, so it's no trouble. There's a massage spa and nail spa, laundry, and a food stall inside the alley, but there are also so many more options when you get right into the main street/block. The area is safe.
The room is clean and comfortable, with a huge space. Some things I would have preferred: a quieter AC, a window that had greens / street view, brighter/whiter colors (floor and cabinet) and softer night lights. The shower has hot water, mini ref works well, and wifi is strong.
The elevator is small but works well. I think the elevator and stairs area could use a bit more ventilation, smells a bit damp sometimes but not bad. They have sensor lights for stairs.
Service is excellent, Luna was very accommodating and helpful. Upon my late arrival, she offered for me to pay on the second day instead so I could get some rest first. She provided all the instructions I needed for the stay, recommended a safe ATM, and responded promptly for laundry requests, deposits, logging in to Netflix for the room, and so on. She also recommended restaurants, and even bookstores when I asked. Thank...
Read moreWe had initially booked to stay 3 nights but left after 10 minutes. Photographs are extremely misleading and looks nothing like what is advertised.
There are no staff on site in the evening. We arrived after midnight and we’re given details of how to get into the hotel by WhatsApp, including getting through a gate with a padlock on it. Some of the codes give for the lockbox etc we’re wrong and if it weren’t for another guest letting us in, we wouldn’t have been able to access the hotel.
When we did get in we went to our room and it was a joke. Room filthy, hairs all over the bed, dirt on the floors and ant crawling up the wall. I contacted management by WhatsApp; who read the messages and ignored them. My husband and I just left and checked into the hotel across the road which thankfully had a free room.
Absolute joke of a hotel, please avoid at all costs. I’ve stayed in varying levels of accommodation in Vietnam and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had in terms of price, cleanliness and overall service....
