[ Disclaimer : this is a review about the so-called Suite, I can not speak for the other rooms ]
So, I've booked Nicecy Hotel at the last minute, expecting a shoebox… ended up in a 80 sqm apartment! - For the vibe it's very vintage (50's?) call it “retro charm?” if you like :D - but everything was clean and very comfy, actually. [ again, this is about the suite on top floor which is very affordable ].
Large and comfy bed! (saying this as a 6'4'' tall guy for reference ). But for me the cherry on the cake, who works on computer late night, is the blackout curtains that keep the room dark all day long if needed - To my surprise, it also has sound-proofed windows allowing nearly noise cancellation; Well, having the main bedroom giving on a veranda with an extra soundproofed window certainly contributed to even further reduce noise pollutions.
And on an extra note, then there’s the star of the show! 🙌 outgoing, super friendly and prompt to help: "Mr Simon" at the front desk, So based on my experience with that particular room ( I can't vouch for the others ) I'm...
Read moreWe booked Nicecy hotel on booking to get there and be put into 345 apartments, I asked to look at the room as we paid extra for a window. To find out it had no windows and they had double booked us and other people! On New Year’s Eve!
After the receptionist insisting it was ok and nothing like the photos other couples were not happy! I cancelled the booking other wise it was going to charge me on booking after 6pm. Then they said if I want the room I have to pay more than before as everywhere is sold out. Ri who I was in contact with who works there kept putting the phone down on me. Eventually I said I have no choice due to the day and would pay the 20% more charge to which they said someone had booked it while I was talking to him.
The company is an absolute shambles and filthy rooms so glad I didn’t give any money to the company as they didn’t have a care in the work of putting us on the street with our daughter on New Year’s Eve.

Read moreWARNING: THIS PLACE WILL TRY TO SCAM YOU.
We arrived having booked and had our booking confirmed in advance, only to be told that the studio we booked wasn't actually available for the 3 nights we had booked. We were offered an 'upgrade' for only 1 night, for more money. The alternative was that they would send us to ome of their sister hotels (which we Googled and it looked even worse!). When we decided we didn't want the hassle as we are only here for 3 nights and that we would go to a different hotel, they wouldn't even pay for a taxi to the new place. So they have completely wasted a few hours of our time and given us a really negative start to our time in Vietnam. Interestingly, while we were in reception frantically trying to find a hotel that won't scam us, an American man came in and guess what? He had the EXACT same story, but in reverse. So he had been at the sister hotel and they had brought him to this hotel instead. Very dodgy! AVOID....
