I rely upon TripAdvisor reviews (and other sources) for information about unknown locations when traveling, and this hotel is SUPERB! |I arrived in this exceptional city on a red-eye flight, took a very nice hotel close to the airport, then GIMPWALKED the next day most of the distance here. After climbing a short number of steps (GREAT handrail!) up to reception, it was easy-peasy. After a very quick check-in, I took the lift/elevator up to my room on the second floor, up one level [somewhat ironic because I’ve overnighted in communities where I’ve had to struggle ascending/descending multiple levels of non-handrail steps; of course, those locations do NOT get my recommendation!].|Anyway, the en-suite room has everything a traveller needs (but no mini-fridge, which is not necessary for me). Hot water is REALLY hot, almost scalding, so don’t accidentally bump the handle when showering. Since I was originally intending to be pedaling my Doublevision whilst continuing my RTW biketour, I have only two sets of apparel: day and night. That means I’m washing my day set every night, and it is SO CONVENIENT because the shower has an extremely handy lower valve that I can rinse said clothing without bending over. |Although I usually will make a Brekkie of coffee/fruit/biscuits/ramen/whatever I bought the previous evening, I’ve come to rely upon the fresh juice vendor, always located on the sidewalk next to the entrance. Yes, the coffee is important and essential, but the juice has become a significant source of my good health (?!) and energy, too.|Of course, now that I’m “ageing out”, I tend to get exhausted by mid-day, but I am always happily greeted at the door (as well as when I depart for the day); I feel very comfortable & welcome here. I highly recommend this hotel. Obviously, it, especially the staff, has my hearty “Wheel...
Read moreIt has been 4 years since I was in Ho Chi Minh City, and business brought me back here again. This time, for proximity reasons, I chose Ohana after reading good reviews on TripAdvisor. ||True to the words, their people at customer service are very friendly. Always armed with a services with a smile, they were a welcome each day. |The room is big, clean and little fuss. They have a spacious bathroom too, with simple but adequate amenities. The only thing they could improve were the lights of the bathroom. They were too dim. Other than that, I have little complaints. ||The hotel is in a quiet part of town and not too far (5 min walk) to the new Takashimaya shopping area. It is close to the many coffee and bars that dot District 1, but far enough from the noise. I hope to be back here again in...
