I can't actually comment on the comfort of the room as I did not get to stay at Triple E. Due to a bit of a snaffoo with my Vietnamese Visa I did not manage to fly to HCM and so could not check into Triple E Hotel. As soon as I knew I was not going to get on the flight to Ho Chi Minh I made contact with the Hotel. I cancelled my booking with Booking . Com and I requested a waiver of the cancellation fee. I explained the situation in my contact with Triple E via the Booking . com website and I also found the WhatsApp number for Triple E and immediately sent them a message explaining what had happened and asking very nicely if they could either waiver the cancellation fee or perhaps transfer the booking to a later date when I could get my Visa sorted out. I received a very quick and very succinct and terse NO to all of my requests. There was no understanding, no consideration for what I was experiencing (it was a really harsh travel day .. we've all had them) and no leniency at all. My booking was for four nights and there was not even a suggestion that perhaps I could pay for one night (given that the hotel was supposedly heavily booked out) and that they would credit me the other three nights .. Or even that a 50% cancellation fee be charged .. nope .. point blank refusal. They also tried to blame Booking . com saying that it was their fault .. I received an email a few days later from Booking . Com saying they had tried to make contact with the hotel to request a waiver of the cancellation but had recieved no reply. Just poor form on Triple E Hotel's part .. poor customer service and poor understanding of how travel plans can change unexpectedly. Just so very disappointed all round. And if this is an indication of how they treat their guests or potential guests then I would suggest booking elsewhere.|I didn't like their poor customer service. Their inability to understand that situations and travel plans change and sometimes this can not be helped. I did not like that they blamed Booking . Com when clearly they could have easily refunded my booking fee, or waived the cancellation fee or at least reduced the cost of the cancellation instead of charging me for FOUR nights accommodation that I...

Read moreWe researched prior to booking. We wanted a hotel in the centre of Saigon, and the Triple E is a great location for exploring.|It is easy to walk to the main sites….. Independence Palace, Post Office etc.|We spent 4 nights at the hotel. This worked well as Saigon can initially be a bit of a shock to the system……. It’s noisy, vibrant, energetic and fun. The Triple E is in a great location for exploring by walking around the city.|The hotel location is in an authentic neighbourhood rather than amongst the newer more sterile buildings.|There are plenty of restaurants close by…… you will be spoiled for choice.|We found it easy to get tours to the Meekong and to the Tunnel’s with pick up from our hotel.|The staff were vey welcoming every time we walked through reception, and there to offer helpful advice. The rooms are kept to a very good standard, in fact we were really impressed with the housekeeping….. very clean rooms and fresh sheets ever day. the TV has plenty of channels….. quite useful when taking a breather from the heat !|We would definitely recommend the Triple E.|We stayed for 4 nights and the longer we were there the more we appreciated the Triple E…… Saigon is hot and humid, so how great that your hotel is within easy walking distance to drop into your nice clean room, make the most of the hospitality and have a tea or coffee….take a shower. Then after a rest go again exploring the city which you are right in the heart of.|The only reason for not giving a full score in every element is that the sound proofing from the street could have been a bit better (seemed worse on Friday night than the other nights)…… not too big a deal as the beds are very comfortable and we slept well.|We enjoyed finishing the evening with a drink at the front of the hotel….. watching the...
