On behalf of all the audiences, I would like the owner to give the restaurant’s photographer and whoever named the menu a raise! From the photos, the reviews…we thought the restaurant was a (huge) open space with romantic forest theme. It isn’t. I should have known, the location is in district 1, and not dis 7 or 2. There is no way the place could be huge nor outdoorsy (with that much space).
Put that initial shock aside, everything else is superb: The service is excellent. I literally would come back just for their 3 stars Michelin CS.
The food is delicious and leans on to sweeter flavor (from the tea to the main dishes). For those that don’t have a sweet tooth, be aware.
The design/decoration is Totoro theme. My fav. Have always had a crush on Totoro characters. Now that I have the means to fulfill my childhood’s dream ;)) sweet spot! A raining mossy forest ;)
There are few detailed reviews from other reviews regarding the dishes so I won’t bother listing mine. I do have two fav dishes: the Pho steak, Tapas and avocado salad.
Drinks are cleverly named and decorated. It tastes alright, not that special to me.
One thing I would suggest is that they should offer hot tea or even some hot water 🤷♀️ I’m surprised there is no hot tea in such a cozy restaurant…especially, with the windy-rainy weather lately 🤷♀️ It’d be nice to have a warm/hot cup of tea to go with the dessert.
I’ll def come back to treat my mother with some cute drinks and...
Read moreWent here on early December. Venue is fairly cozy with forest theme in an old building. The kitchen right at store front. There’s some cute miniature plant terrariums on display. The moss, plants wall reminds me of Roka Fella which feel kinda nice.
This place look more like restaurant than a bar. Need lighting improvement as it’s quite dark. Price is affordable, I like how they put effort naming the drinks/food after Vietnam places in the menu.
The food actually tastes great and interesting. I recommended to try Phú Yên Tacos, Tapas Viễn Đông (Tacos was kinda soggy after a while tho but still taste good). Lợn Bản Lá Rừng also nice too. I just didn’t like Vịt Áp Ổi Hồng, tastes strange for me, but my friend said it was interesting. Def should try their ice cream, quite unique.
I was sick so didn’t try their cocktails yet, would come back to try it. Waiter was so so, forgot my request. Cashier girl was kind, caring with excellent English. Got a voucher after lucky withdrawal.
Thing upset me was the fairy lights. The venue was dimmed, so I couldn’t read menu well with my bad eyesight, hardly take food photo (look how dark was these pics). The fairy light keep flashing/dimming whole night make it uncomfortable and headache. Would be nicer if they add some...
Read moreThe place is very cozy and locates in a nice area of district one. Inside the restaurant, you can see very nice decoration, and a lot of plants which I like a lot. The staff were super friendly and attentive. They would be very patient to explain so many things to you and answer on your questions, though the volume of diners are high at night. The menu is pretty difficult to read and comprehend, it looks like owners want to prioritize set combo. The dishes are creative, which make us think the chef is still young and open minded. Half of the dishes were very OK (recommend udon and lychee beef) and the other ones are a bit confusing like the salad, which we don’t recommend at all. Some hopefully good dishes were sold out as well. most of the dishes come with very small portion, which makes us order twice or even thrice though we were just 2 diners. Hope this helps the restaurant improves the way they serve dishes, design menu, and pricing per...
