Mulligans pleasantly surprised me when I dropped by craving a hotdog. Despite it being mid-afternoon, the bar was bustling, which explains the ample staff on duty—perhaps a bit excessive compared to Western standards where one person often manages multiple roles. Nevertheless, Mulligans is a great escape from the sun, offering cold beer with Rooster Stout on tap, which complemented my choice of the roast beef dip. The portion was generous enough to feed a family for a month—no exaggeration—and it tasted amazing. The bacon sandwich caught my eye too, ensuring I’ll return to explore more of the menu.
Overall, my experience at Mulligans was positive, and I’ll definitely be back soon—maybe even today since I’m getting hungry again. A minor suggestion for the owner would be to improve staff product knowledge; I observed a customer asking for Guinness and then being directed to cider when he inquired about dark beer. Intervening, I recommended Rooster Stout, which he appreciated. Additionally, I noticed intriguing sauces on the wall but wasn’t informed about them; discovering more about them next time would be great.
In conclusion, Mulligans earns a solid five stars from me—I couldn’t find any faults...

The owner of the bar was around and didn't objected to the rude comment of other patron which were clearly derogatory and offensive. I was initially happy to find a English bar so far from home but was quickly reminded by one of the patrons why this was a bad idea when he yelled out a question to the fellow patrons "How it feels to sit in a bar full of colonists?" Obviously pointing that towards me as I was the only brown guy, just a reminder to every one in Vietnam that its a communist country close ties with Russia and not U.K
May be if he is so proud of that part of his history then he should visit any prison to know that the feeling is same as I felt sitting in a room full of convicts !!
Update: Regardless of who its was directed at, it was disrespectful and derogatory in every manner. If I was a hot head then it would have ended up very differently. I was the only dark skin and a comment like that would only be offensive towards a dark skin men.
