This hotel was nothing less than impressive. After reading several positive reviews about this hotel, my family and I was encouraged to try it ourselves. The hotel is located less than 30 mins away from the airport. On a good day, you can make it in 15 mins, which is good. Location-wise, the hotel is situated towards the southern end of Phu Quoc island, nicely tucked away from much of the more popular, busy, or expensive-ish tourist spots. Bliss Hotel is located in an enclosed suburban area filled with Europeaneque villas, each being a hotel of its own which offers unique experiences. The facilities were very clean and features a very warm, organic aesthetic. This area is very quiet and great for walking as there are a few places you can walk to on this vast compound. These include mostly restaurants and cafes. Things shut down in this area from about 9:00-10:00 pm, so if you'd need anything it's best to take a trip to the city centre about 30 mins away either by taxi or Grab. The hotel itself offers an all-you-can-eat breakfast if you book this option, where you can order as many things as you'd like within a 3-hour window each morning. However, the lunchtime and dinner options are substantially more, with an array of Western, Asian, and Fusion meals which are delicious, filling, and affordable. This also includes various kinds of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic alike; similarly, there are vegetarian and non-vegetarian options for food (don't expect purely vegan or halal options however). The hotel staff are friendly, industrious, professional and truly concerned about your wellbeing. They're always ready to serve and do their best to support and advise you even after front desk hours. During our time here, we experienced an impressive level of service in all respects. The staff here is generally well-prepared. From borrowing scissors to needles and thread to calling a taxi to advise on where to go for food nearby after the kitchen is closed -- this hotel puts more effort into service than trying to make money off of you. As such, this is an honest business with great value. Surprisingly the hotel rooms were quite sizable; even larger than more 'expensive' or 'luxurious' hotels. This is good as it does well for group trips and family outings. Overall, this is an excellent hotel for persons looking for a quiet place, close to the beach, away from the hustle and bustle, and to some extent an alternative hotel experience. Certainly a place I would heartily recommend and visit again in the...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights during my birthday week, and had a great stay. Value for money was excellent.
The hotel is located about 20 mins away from the airport, in a large private hotel complex called mango village. The beach is a 1 min walk, and there's a few bars, and some restaurants etc along the beach front.
The hotel itself shares a pool with the other hotels in the area, and boasts 3 very large swimming pools all equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas.
Our room was spacious, clean, and our bed was very comfortable. The room was equipped with all amenities expected (TV, AC, mini fridge, hairdryer, kettle etc).
The staff were great, and very quick to respond to any issues or questions we asked. Special mention goes to Gaby, as she was fantastic throughout our stay, providing great recommendations and making our stay extra special, even going the extra mile providing cakes and decoration in the room for my birthday.
The only downside to our stay was the WiFi in the room - signal cut out constantly on our TV which made watching anything on their TV Box nearly impossible.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and...
Read moreWe booked through booking dot com with free cancellation at any time. When we arrived the development was deserted, there’s a few random hotels and one very expensive sailing club, but no restaurants and no tourists, it’s a ghost town. The motel itself is nice enough but we decided not to stay as it definitely had zombie vibes. The hotel keeps saying it’s waiting to hear from booking dot com’s final decision to process the refund, booking are very clear that they’ve tried to contact the hotel multiple times to get it processed so now I’ve had to start a claim with my cc company. Even after numerous messages from myself they have not processed the refund, Certainly NOT recommended, terrible business practices and desperate for money so has not processed...
