Hiep Thoai Hotel — Hotel in Phú Quốc

Hotel & staff:||We booked this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews and could not have made a better choice!! We first booked 4 nights but today had extended our stay 3 nights more. We are staying at the hotel as I am writing this review. The room is absolutely 100% spick and span from ceiling to the drain pipes! Honestly! Rooms are cleaned daily if you wish, also towels are changed, beds made. Not sure if linen too is changed every single day, as this is now our 2nd night. Rooms are equipped with A/C, television, fridge, WIFI, hot water coming from shower. Staff are very polite and helpful. Only one lady speaks some English though, but that´s expected in Vietnam. No breakfast because no restaurant, but walk 4 mins towards town on the left side and you´ll find a nice and affordable seaview place (don´t remember the name, but the hotel´s Engl speaking lady can assist).||||Location:||The hotel is located just on the South side of town (5 mins walk to town and the day/night markets) and 1 minute away from Long Beach (North side).||||We hope that everyone who book this hotel have as nice an experience as we surely are having! We wanted to enjoy our stay more than we did at Hiep Thoai Hotel Phu Quoc because it is in a great location in the heart of city center with wonderful restaurants and the night market close by. We liked the decor of our room, which included a large bathroom, a balcony, and ocean views. However the walls are very thin, and in this location the noise from the traffic can be heard all throughout the day and night. We requested a room with no smoking and during our stay someone, not sure if they are staff or not, was smoking cigarettes in the hall, even though there is a no smoking sign posted, in which cigarette smoke permeated into our room and made it wreak of cigarettes. Pet cats roam inside of the hotel lobby area and in the stairwell in case anyone looking to book here has pet allergies. This hotel does not have an elevator and the stair well is narrow. Bottled water was supposed to be provided complimentary with our stay but when we asked for our complimentary water they wouldn't provided it for us unless we...

I booked one single room since I traveled alone. However the owner let me stay in 2 double beds room because the hotel was full, no extra payment for the room. My room was clean, fairly spacious, tidy and new. It had tivi, AC, toiletries, overall well equipped.
