Maison Phu Quoc Hotel — Hotel in Phú Quốc

The hotel is fine if you only plan to sleep there. It doesn’t look like the photos at all. The plaster is peeling off the walls, and the curtains have huge holes. When we arrived, the room was dirty, and we didn’t get any towels because they had run out 😂. The bathroom also had a burnt-out lightbulb. The staff doesn’t speak English at all, so it’s difficult to ask for anything. However, with the help of a Vietnamese translator, we managed to communicate, and from the next day, the room was cleaned properly, and they replaced the lightbulb. The breakfasts were okay. I stayed at Maison Hotel Phu Quoc and really enjoyed the beach view and the rooftop café—both were fantastic! The room was clean and comfortable, but I can only give the service 4/5. I reported a problem with the noise coming from the window when it’s closed, and while the front desk assured me someone would check it, that never happened. I booked this hotel as it was one of the hotels nearest to the night market(around 450m away). The fact is that the distance is measured based on the line of sight, the hotel is actually up on a 50m slope(45 degrees) and no way near the night market. I have to book a grab bike whenever I want to go back to hotel. The hotel is also quite rundown, looks good from the photos. The roof top bar is closed and undergoing some renovation.
