This is my first posting to Google, but I do now because my experiences in this hotel are really terrible.
To be fair, their facilities and location are so nice. It has a good Kids Play Room and swimming pool, easy access to a beach, VinWonders and Safari. But frankly speaking, the staff's attitude is incredibly rude and I have never had such unpleasant experiences in other hotels around the world. Definitely the poorest hospitality I have ever seen.
As we can see from their Kids Play Room or shallow swimming pool, this hotel intends to welcome families with small children. In spite of that, they every day hold music events along the swimming pool side at children's nap time and evening, until 10:00 pm. Moreover, the volume was quite loud like an explosion. Please imagine a dance floor or a disco. Because of that noisy sound, we had to change our room since our room was along the swimming pool side and our child could not sleep. Even though we had packed all our baggages in advance and asked the reception to change the room and deliver also the baby bed to the new room on the day before, they have not changed the room and the baby bed at the promised time. Incredibly, when I told the reception to finish soon, the staff asked me to deliver our baggages BY OURSELVES(she arranged another staff to deliver baggages after I had demanded). In the end it took 1 hour to set up the baby bed and our child had to wait for the bed to sleep. What a waste of time and a kind request to a customer. Serious lack of responsibility. They lost our own laundry bag and we asked them to find it. This case itself is not such a big deal. But when I asked them the next day, they made us go back and forth saying "please ask to concierge, they are checking now", "this is reception's matter, we will refer to them". A staff even said " I DON'T KNOW THIS PROBLEM“ and she ignored me to escape to the next customer. Since our bag was stored at their office, it had been really an easy matter to resolve if they would have had the sence of responsibilities and shared a bit of information among them. Only a staff who found our bag was friendly and actually tried to resolve the problem.(Unfortunately she didn't have the name card. A thin woman with glasses in yellow-green uniform.) I ordered the food of room service since I had a fever and couldn't go outside. After awaiting 30 minutes, the restaurant called me and said that they had forgot my order and it would take 20 more minutes. I demanded to deliver as soon as possible, but surprisingly she continued to say without even asking apologies that it would take anyway 20 more minutes, otherwise I can cancel my order. In the end it took more than 30 more minutes, in total more than 1 hour just for a small simple order. As a whole, staffs other than above are also lack of hospitality. Many staffs don't look at eyes of customers and start to talk with other staffs to escape when they are in trouble. They often have a sneered face.
Their facilities and location are wonderful and worth 4〜5, but our reputation is -5 〜 -3 due to those experiences. This hotel has 4 stars, but I assume that the evaluators see just those facilities and are not aware of the staffs with the poorest hospitality. The executive and manager must seriously consider their way of holding events and education of the staffs. This terrible situation is not only due to staffs but...
Read moreFeedback Regarding Recent Stay at Wyndham Garden, Phu Qouc Vietnam
Dear Wyndham Garden Management Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share my feedback following a recent stay at your establishment in Phu Quoc Vietnam. While I appreciate certain aspects of the experience, I believe there are areas that require attention to align with the standards expected of a 4-star hotel. Positive Highlights: The property felt safe and clean, making it ideal for families and friends. The staff were friendly and respectful, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The quality of the food was commendable, and I would like to acknowledge the chefs for their excellent work.
Concerns and Areas for Improvement:
Front Desk Organization Upon check-in, we were assigned a room different from the one booked online. Despite raising this issue at the front desk, no resolution was provided, and no staff member followed up as promised.
Housekeeping Standards On some days, the rooms were not brushed or mopped, which fell below expectations for cleanliness in a 4-star property.
Restaurant Service Communication barriers resulted in incorrect orders being served. Tables and glassware were stained from previous use and remained uncleaned, even after requests for them to be addressed.
Management Engagement I raised these concerns during my stay and was met with a lack of professionalism. Multiple staff members were sent to speak with me, each claiming to be the manager, while the General Manager initially refused to meet. When I finally had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Diler Kemal, I felt my concerns were dismissed. His tone was unprofessional, and the conversation lacked the seriousness expected when addressing a guest’s feedback, which resulted his storming off to his room
While I value the positive aspects of my stay, the issues highlighted significantly impacted my experience. I hope this feedback will assist your team in identifying areas of improvement and implementing measures to provide a consistently high standard of service. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback. I look forward to seeing the improvements should I choose to visit Wyndham Garden again in the...
Read moreI came with my family to phụ quốc to get away from the city.
I booked without doing enough research about the island and found this hotel.
Rooms: were nice but because it was unused or new water taps were not clear as you turned it on. Mouse droppings were in my mom’s room. But my room was good I would say clean enough for my daughter and husband to want to lie on the ground. Beds are head which one of the guests pointed out to us and sheets are not soft. They offered us another room but we were only staying for another night. I like how well prepared the washrooms were with supplies. Drain to the tub was slow, but nice big tub to fit the family and shower head.
Service: they were all nice but you can see the lack of experience the staff had. Until we brought our concerns they made their biggest efforts to make our stay better. Which I do appreciate but we wanted to explore other hotels to see how it was. So we didn’t want to extend our stay even though we extended our flights here. But again I do appreciate the whole team coming to see us to apologize for our stay and making sure our stay was better onwards.
Location: is the biggest factor that stunned us it’s 45 mins from the airport and it is a ghost town here. We were kinda freaked out but during breakfast we saw maybe 20-30 people maybe.
Restaurants: were empty and so it may be awkward or luxurious depending how you want to look at it. Breakfast is minimal and average if you are looking for a basic breakfast but nothing out of the ordinary.
Beach: we had to take a little shuttle to get there and so I found it was inconvenient and when we got there to sit in the tables you had to order a drink. Maybe because I’m not from Vietnam this just their style so I’m comparing to places like Canada, Mexico and or states. Overall I would say is they are a newly owned hotel is my understanding; expect not a busy hotel at all, new, clean to a degree that because no one is here it’s pretty much untouched or barely used. my mother in law, husband and daughter are sick not sure from what but nothing is staying down. Me and my mom’s stomach myself has been uneasy but nothing compared to my mother in law, husband and daughter who have never...
