Hotel Review: Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc Our recent stay at Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc was a mixed experience, leaving us with both admiration and disappointment. We stayed in a two-bedroom villa, and while the villa itself was stunning, the overall experience was mediocre at best for a property of this caliber. The Villa The villa was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay. The layout, design, beds, and private pool were exceptional, creating a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere. However, we noticed stains on the sofa and chairs, which clearly indicated a lack of deep cleaning. For a luxury property, this oversight in maintenance is surprising and detracts from the otherwise impressive setting. Additionally, while the villa includes a kitchen, it was disappointing to find that there were no cooking utensils or cutlery provided—not even the basics. When we inquired about using the kitchen, we were informed that there was a VND 500,000 charge to access the kitchen facilities. This is the first time we’ve encountered a luxury hotel charging extra for something that should naturally accompany a villa with a kitchen. If the villa had no kitchen, this might be understandable, but this policy feels unreasonable and poorly thought out. Breakfast Spread The breakfast was far from what you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. The spread was plain and limited, with options such as pancakes and waffles that were neither fluffy nor appetizing. The lack of variety and uninspiring presentation left us unimpressed. For a hotel of this reputation, a more extensive and well-prepared breakfast should be a given. Service The most noticeable drawback during our stay was the service quality. The hotel seemed understaffed for its size, which impacted the level of service provided. Many requests—such as buggy service, room service orders, or kitchen inquiries—were met with visible frustration from staff, who appeared annoyed and eager to get rid of us. While we understand the challenges of managing a busy hotel, guests paying premium rates deserve courteous and attentive service. Another significant issue was the language barrier. Many staff members lacked a decent level of English, which led to frequent miscommunications that left both sides frustrated. For an international brand, this is an area that desperately needs improvement through proper training. Final Thoughts In summary, the villa was fantastic, and the hotel’s design and amenities had great potential, but the lack of attention to cleanliness, service quality, and the breakfast experience left much to be desired. At its current level of service and with the additional charges for basic amenities, the experience does not justify the premium price. Will I return? With so many other options available in this price range, it’s unlikely. Unless the service, cleanliness, and overall guest experience improve significantly, I’d suggest looking elsewhere for better value.

My family and I visited Naia Spa during our stay at Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc, and the experience was unfortunately overpriced, underwhelming, and left us feeling misled. My mother had a facial, which cost around SGD$40, and it consisted of nothing more than repetitive scrubbing with soap. There were no masks, serums, or proper skincare steps - it felt rushed and amateurish. We also tried the hair care service, which was similarly priced at SGD$40 per person. All three of us found it severely lacking. It involved a quick wash with soap, no proper scalp massage, conditioner, or actual care - certainly not what one would expect at this price point. My boyfriend and I also went for a massage, which cost over SGD $60 each. While my therapist was passable, his was clearly untrained and unsure of what to do, constantly looking over at mine for cues. His massage was uncoordinated and ineffective, far from the relaxing experience we had hoped for. To make matters worse, at the end of the session, we were pressured to leave a five-star review on Google Maps. The staff stood over us while we wrote it on our phones, which felt coercive and inappropriate. This interaction left me feeling deeply uncomfortable and misled, especially since I had relied on those very reviews when deciding to book the spa. After this experience, I strongly suspect that many of the glowing five-star reviews on their page were also forced in a similar manner. It’s disappointing and feels deceptive - as a customer, I felt lied to. Although the spa may appear clean and inviting, the actual service quality does not justify the pricing, nor does it match the standards it tries to portray. It felt more like a tourist trap than a genuine spa. I do not recommend Naia Spa, and I would encourage others to look for better-value, more transparent establishments elsewhere on the island.

## Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc: A Paradise for Families, Especially with Ms. Hang's Fantastic Kid's Club experience! We recently stayed at the Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc and were absolutely thrilled with the experience, particularly for our children. The hotel boasts a fantastic Kid's Club, which kept our kids entertained for hours on end, both indoor and outdoor. The Kid's Club itself is a great place with packed with activities and toys suitable for children under 10. Our kids especially enjoyed the bounce house and color activity, where they could bond and share with other children. However, what truly elevated the Kid's Club experience was the exceptional staff, especially Hang. Hang went above and beyond to ensure our children had a memorable time. She was*patient, attentive, and incredibly kind, always ready to engage with the children and organize fun activities. One particular highlight was when Hang personally helped make balloon animals and apply henna designs for the kids. This small gesture made a huge difference, and the children were absolutely delighted with their personalized creations. Overall, the Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc provided a wonderful family vacation experience. The excellent facilities, diverse activities, and especially the caring staff made it a place where both children and adults could relax, have fun, and create lasting memories. We highly recommend this resort to any family looking for a perfect getaway in Phu Quoc.

Unforgettable vacation @ Phu Quoc Paradise Wyndham Grand! (A 5-Star Dreamy hotel!)

Our recent two-week family getaway to the Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc with our two energetic boys wasn't just a holiday, it was the kind of memory-making magic you dream of! Not only that the hotel is amazing there's actually a small waterpark & private luxury beach on-site(!!) From the moment we stepped into the stunning lobby, we were enveloped in 5-star luxury that, to our absolute delight, came at an amazingly good price. This hotel didn't just meet our expectations; it launched them into the stratosphere!

For a family with two active boys, finding a place that caters to everyone's needs can be a challenge, but the Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc hit it out of the park. The sprawling, lagoon-style swimming pool was, without a doubt, the heart of our days. Countless hours were spent splashing, laughing, and racing down the slides (yes, even Mum and Dad joined in!). The dedicated kids' pool area was a fantastic, safe space for our youngest, while the older one couldn't get enough of the wider aquatic playground.

The Kids' Club was another absolute winner. Our boys, who can sometimes be a little shy, were immediately welcomed by the warm and engaging staff. They eagerly anticipated their time there, giving us parents some welcome moments of relaxation knowing they were not just supervised, but genuinely having a blast with creative activities and new friends.

Beyond the exceptional facilities, the service was impeccable. Every staff member we encountered, from the friendly faces at breakfast to the diligent housekeeping team, went above and beyond with a smile. They were particularly wonderful with the children, always ready with a kind word or a helpful hand.

The sheer beauty of the resort itself is breathtaking. Lush landscaping, pristine pathways, and the stunning architecture created a backdrop that felt both luxurious and incredibly relaxing. We loved our spacious and beautifully appointed family room, which provided a comfortable haven after action-packed days. Waking up to the serene views each morning was a treat in itself.

And let's talk about the value! To experience this level of luxury, service, and family-friendly amenities at such a reasonable price point was truly astounding. We felt like we'd discovered a hidden gem. We enjoyed delicious and varied food options throughout our stay without ever feeling like we were breaking the bank.

Our two weeks at the Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc were filled with an almost unbelievable amount of fun, laughter, and cherished family moments. It was the perfect blend of excitement for the kids and relaxation for us. If you're a family looking for a 5-star Vietnamese escape that delivers an unforgettable experience without an outrageous price tag, look no further. The Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc is, quite simply, Vietnam hotel paradise found.

See you soon & special thanks to Lam from the entertainment team, and Nam...

Communication with hotel from booking reservation was a total nightmare. We booked via trip.com and Agoda for 2 villas. We were trying to inform hotel that we needed a bus transport from the airport and also requested for our 2 villas to be near each other. They took days to reply us each time there was a query. And instead of addressing our queries, the hotel was more interested in making sure our booking name matched exactly, with what we gave her. She made us ensure that we contacted Agoda to change the booking name. We informed the hotel that we were celebrating a birthday which occured 2 days before our check in date but they couldn't even help to arrange for a compimentary due to their inflexible policy which says that your birthday must fall within your dates of stay. Reception staff gave confusing info about venue for morning stretch class. Luckily the lifeguard helped direct me to the beach for the morning class. We were given instructions to board bus 17 to the city centre from Corona food centre but the driver told us the bus only goes to the airport. In the end, we gave up with the concierge and booked our own Grab car. Housekeeping standard was inconsistent. Some toiletries were missing from the room, they did not clear the welcome cake even after the second day, I had to dump it in the bin. At the breakfast table, we had to keep asking for cutlery and napkins as they did not ensure that these are made available before seating us.the waitress even told me they ran out of cloth napkins. The coffee machine kept breaking down and I had to change machine to get the milk. Door locks could not be locked in the villa as they were faulty. On one day, they didn't clean the bath tub. Slippers are not complimentary so do not take them or you will be charged for it. I felt bad that I had to give this hotel a thumbs down review as the fitness coach Dien was very obliging and I promised to give him a good review, so I would like to commend him here. The reception didn't inform us to validate our room cards hence we couldn't enter our villa on the last night, this was despite us continuously informing them we had 2 consecutive bookings due to a flight change. The final straw came on check out day. We waited more than 15 mins for the housekeeping to tell us if things are in order. They irresponsibly charged a milk and coconut drink to our bill, saying we consumed from the mini bar which we didn't. We bought the milk from king Kong mart and just because they saw my empty carton , they assumed I drank it. In the first place, the fridge did not have that brand of milk and I wondered how housekeeping came to this incredible conclusion. They gave us a later check out timing which we appreciated. However the whole experience was way below expectations and they have a long way to go, hence you may be better off spending your money somewhere else which will make you feel special and not be...
