This place was horrible! Do not stay here especially if you are a young women!
Firstly, when emailing with the host they seemed very nice and even offered to book us as car from the bus station to the hostel! We gladly accepted as we were getting in late. However when our bus got in, there was no driver for us. So we called the hostel, and the host reluctantly agreed to call us another car.
Once at the hostel, the host was visibly very drunk and tried to get us book a cave tour with him before we got to the room. We said we just wanted to sleep and to take up to the room.
When we got there it was not the room we booked, it had 2 beds instead of three. Which is not ideal but not the end of the world. However, we asked if we could pay the price that this room was listed for on hostel world as it is much cheaper. He told us no, and that this room should cost MORE than our original room. He then said if we were not happy we should just leave.
At this point, we said it was okay and that we just needed a room as it was far past the time another place would take us in. He then said he was kicking us out and that hopefully the place next door would take us.
All in all a horrible and scary experience for any female traveler....
Read moreBeautiful relaxing place in a natural environnement with the most kind persons. Very cheap room with breakfast included. The owners are such amazing persons, very kind, helpful, welcoming, friendly. I could keep saying more for a long time. Zu offered me the special rice wine alcool and chatted with me about everything I needed, gave me every explanations about what we can do. They can book anything for you (bus, trip...), they provide free bicycles to explore the area. They rent cheap motorbikes (150k VND). You can order tasty food anytime. Good AC in the dorms, good bed with curtains for each bed, lockers, clean room and bathroom. The hostel looks cute, the common area has nice decorations. And you are facing the beautiful river and mountains. There is also a peaceful terrace in front of the river where you can chill in a hammock, a bouncing bench or a table and enjoy the view. Also Zu speaks a perfect english ! The others persons working there are very nice and smiling all the time. They are very warm and welcoming persons. They make good food and fresh juices. Thank you so much...
Read moreWe didn't wannt to make party and decided against the tiger hostel and went to Greenland instead, which turned out to be a very good decision.||They just build new rooms, really big, no AC but fans, the toilet was ok (vietnamese standard), and it was very clean.||They also have a dorm, looked clean but was a little dark and small.||We booked a trekking and a busticket with the owner, whose English is quiet good, and everything went well.||Breakfast was included and pretty much ok.||Best was the tour, we booked the adventure tour, which consisted of a 2h-walk to the exit of dark cave, where we went in and then had bbq, which was simple, but tasty, then went on for 45 minutes too the royal water cave, what was amazing. We explored the cave swimming. Another 2h walk and we arrived at the street, where soon the driver showed up with the promised beer. Also our guide Ken was fun. We really enjoined the trip and we're glad we didn't do the dark-cave tour.||When we were waiting for the bus, the family offered us some cake as one of the kids had...
