The best experience I have had dining in Vietnam since being here a month! Was lost in phong nha and had a lovely lady help me off the street located my hostel and then drive me to hostel with no expectations in return. Returning later in the day to return the favour I came in and dined at xin chào, not only did I have such an amazing breakfast I had exceptional company. I ended up staying longer than expected which is easy when you have a view that delves you into another world! Once hunger kicked back in, I needed to try more on the menu since my first experience was wonderful. Low and behold my expectations were exceeded. If you are in phong nha and stuck on where to eat come in and meet the team, enjoy delicious food, breathtaking views and support great people who deserve the recognition! Also after leaving and walked 5 minutes down the road I was called out to with my drink bottle in hand that had been left behind and accompanied with extra water free of charge. This restaurant was wonderful in every way! We had been traveling through Vietnam for a 10 days when we came across this restaurant next to our home stay. While their Vietnamese food is also great, their western food was legit!! Amazing pizzas, pancakes, French toast, meatball sandwiches that taste of home. Xin Chào came to the rescue, just as my kids were getting homesick and missing “normal food” (normal for them at least) The ladies that run the restaurant are delightful, sweet, attentive, and eager to help. Did I mention the pizza! Ps they have a very nice oven and I saw them baking their fresh loaves of bread they used for our egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I truly can not say enough nice things about Xin Chào. If you come to Phong Nha and miss this restaurant, did you have done yourself...

I felt like something different for dinner after having a big Vietnamese lunch so thought i would try this restaurant next to our homestay as they had pizza on the menu and i felt like a cheese fix! I had a very tasty vegetarian pizza and my friend had spring rolls as she is gluten free. We both had fruit smoothies which were really nice as well. The restaurant is very clean and has a beautiful outlook over the river. The family who run the restaurant are super friendly and provided excellent service, we did not have to wait long for our drinks and food . We were given complimentary banana bread and a big bottle of water which was very kind of them. Highly recommend a visit to this...
