We arrived from Nhin Bhin by bus at 4:00. The sister picked us up from the location. We could stay in one of the dorm until 10:00 am. Unfortunately, the beds were dirty. We woke up and discovered that we slept with someone else’s underwear’s in the bed. We could check in at 12:00 pm in our private room. The room is clean. However, there is construction right next to the building. The noise started at 6:30 am until 06:00 pm! It’s a constant and lousy noise. The receptionist is nonchalant and undermines you with her gaze. We never experienced this in our trip. The breakfast is not tasty at all. The dish is prepared with little care. Next to that, Nhi (the owner) wants to sell you a lots of package to visit the cave. Don’t book there. The prices are extremely high. We book a scooter with her … 150K for one journey for a scooter where the brakes did not work. We rented both bicycles … both bicycles were rusted and again the brakes did not work which is quite dangerous if you want to bike elsewhere than in the city!! Don’t book the bus with her too. We took a bus from Phong Nha to Sapa which costs us 800k DONG per person! It’s outrageous to use tourists that much. The first bus was nice with 20 cabines, which arrived too early in Hanoi. We had to wait for 2 hours on the street. Next to that we paid 400k for a 40 beds bus from Hanoi to Sapa which costs around 200-280K per persons (we asked around). We, 2 women, had also to experience the inadequate and rude behavior of the drivers. In fact, when we were trying to sleep, one of the driver who had a strong alcohol smell, was just starting at us in an insistent way. But at top of that, this guy came during the night to check us out while he was thinking we were sleeping. We felt unsafe. Overall, we wouldn’t recommend to stay at her place. In our 3 weeks stay in Vietnam, it’s the worst place we stayed not due to the accommodation but the...
Read moreIt is with great pleasure that I review Chreish Homestay in Phong Nha Vietnam. Nhan, her family, and staff were so welcoming and helpful that it was almost unbelievable. From the time we arrived at 4 am, and we're picked up at the bus drop off, until the time we left Phong Nha, we were treated like honored guests, even though we were among many tourists staying at the hotel. From speaking to the other guests there, they were having the same experience. The rooms were large well appointed, beds supremely comfortable, well beyond value for the small price. The bathrooms had amenities that were replaced daily, as well as room cleaning if desired. Tour information and booking were all taken care of by the staff (including the transportation to our next destination)and paid for by the hotel, the bill for everything was settled at the end of our stay. This place gets a 10 out of 10 (would give it a higher score if that made any sense). If your going to Phong Nha try to book into this hidden gem because as word get around it going to be difficult to get a room here.....thanks for an...
Read moreReally nice staff, the rooms were very nice, huge space and really comfortable bed. Only fault in there were quite a few tiny flies and ants when we first moved in, sadly we had to squish a few that were all on the sink but after the air conditioning was on and we moved in we hardly seen any. We booked a tour with the home stay for botanical garden, paradise cave, dark cave (with water activities) and duck stop all for 1,400,000 each (not includling 100k stop entry) which was cheaper than we could find online and so convenient to get it all booked for us. The breakfast was okay, one of the days my pancake was very oily and I didn’t eat it but other than that the pancakes on the rest of the days and other breakfasts were good. We had a family evening meal one night which was very nice to meet people and have some good food (vegan and veggie options too). They came and picked us up when we could not book a grab one day too! Cannot recommended enough....
