I checked into London sapa for a break from hostels during my travels to have a nice sleep after a long bus. When I arrived I was shown to my room which absolutely stank. It smelt like people had been smoking and never cleaned the room it was horrendous. I occasionally smoke myself but this was another level of stench. I went downstairs and asked to move rooms or check out early as I felt sick from it. I was shown to another room by a snarky member of staff who seemed really annoyed that I had complained. The next room was fine but I was advised if I checked out early I’d lose my money even though the first room was awful. I went to sleep and was woken at 5am to the sound of people flemming and spitting :( I was next door to a staff room where apparently everyone stars the morning by making wrenching sounds and spitting out down. I felt so unwelcome by staff and was barely looked at until a Vietnamese lady I know dropped me off on a moped outside, then I seemed to be accepted. ||I’ve been staying in hostels for £5 a night in Vietnam better than this and can’t wait to leave. The only reason I’m doing my two nights is as a backpacker I can’t afford to lose money and I was told I...

One of my group booked a separate transfer to Hanoi (via front desk). When the pick up did not show up as scheduled, the front desk staff helped to clarify, sent him to the bus office & sorted out the issues.
