After a long journey from Hanoi, I had the pleasure of dining at Le Gecko Restaurant, and it was truly a delightful experience. The combination of great food and a welcoming ambiance made it the perfect place to unwind.
The restaurant’s menu offered a diverse range of delicious dishes, and the flavors were a true reflection of Vietnamese cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the culinary journey that their menu offered, which was the perfect reward after a tiring journey.
A special highlight was their Vietnamese coffee. Ordering a cup and savoring it on the balcony was a fantastic recommendation. The view from the balcony allowed me to immerse myself in the local surroundings and observe the daily life of Hanoi, all while enjoying the rich, bold flavors of Vietnamese coffee.
The staff at Le Gecko Restaurant added to the overall warmth of the experience. They were friendly and attentive, ensuring that my visit was both comfortable and memorable.

Read moreI used the Le Gecko's restaurant. Sibling of my favourite hangout by the lake, this one has completely different aesthetics and design. Housed in a rescued loghouse, Le Gecko has rich dark wood everywhere - the ceiling, the pillars, the walls, the staircase(two of them) and the tables and chairs, of course. Colourful cushions provide a lovely contrast to the dark wood colours and the dark maroon upholstery and tablecloths. Period pictures dot the restaurant, as well as wall hangings made from local textiles. Three large wine jars stand by the bar storing copious amounts of the local wine. This sibling of the Le Gecko in fact has a well-equipped bar with all the works, alongwith winestands on the wall and wine glasses hanging from a glass rack. I'd a bus to catch, so dropped in for an early breakfast. Le Gecko was already open at 7.30! The menu is the same as in the other three branches (yes! there're four of them in Sa Pa), so I ordered my fav brekka - the Granola with fresh fruit and Vietnamese milk coffee. This was my fifth consecutive repeat of the same breakfast and it was even more delightful. There were loads of fresh, sweet mango! After the breakfast, I settled down with a glass of plum wine made by the local Black Hmong people. A lovely...
Read moreThe place was cute. I accidentally found it because I messed up with the address on google map. I was about to go to their other cafe. Finding this cafe was a surprised and amazing experience to me. The cafe reminded me of the local ethnic place. The decoration was impressive. Everything was clean. The outside area was very romantic with flowers all around. The staff and owner were very friendly and helpful. Their cat was purrfect! Right after we sat on the table, their cat came out and greeted. We can't deny hugging her. At last she slept on my laps for the whole morning. The drink was very amazing. I ordered Gecko tea which I thought it was their signature drink. It was apple tea with ginger and cinnamon. For a chill morning, it really helped warm up the body. The...
