This is the first time I've left a bad review for a provider. We booked Phori house bamboo foresr but got moved to the Phori house 2 due to some construction in the original house. It seemed like a nice accommodation in the first place, we extended our stay for 4 more nights right when we checked in as we fell in love with the concept, but it turned out to be the worst service experience. In the first place i didnt care about the not welcoming attitude of the manager (which i was not so happy about, but still acceptable as i didnt think we would have many things to do with her), but the way she solve the problem was terrible. FROG WAS IN THE BATHROOM FOR 2 TIMES On the 1st night, we saw a frog in a bathroom and because of that, I couldnt take a shower or even go to the toilet for the whole night. Next morning we informed that to her, asking for the solution to prevent it, she said it was rare and informed the maid (without doing anything else) One of following nights this situation happened again, we texted her, she told us TO TELL THE KIDS IN THE VILLAGE TO TAKE IT OUT. We DID ask for their help but they were scared and didnt do it. 30 mins after she came to deliver the food and right away left without giving a damn about the frog. We ofcourse asked her to stay to chase the frog out. It took her 30 minutes to chase it out (while her expect us to deal with it ourselves). She left without a small apology or any solutions to prevent that, ofcourse. The day after we had to buy the tape ourselves and tape a possible hole that the frog could come in from outside, with the help of the maid, it was solved. WATER CUT WITHOUT NOTIFYING US The water was cut for the whole night without us being notified. And guess what? We again could not take a shower nor going to the toilet.
Besides the manager attitude, the frog situation and the water cut, I loved the place, the maid and the kids around. But I will never come back as we dont pay for...
Read moreClean and comfortable with 5 bedrooms (8 beds in total) and 2 bathrooms. Hotwater is available but this place is lack of an active heating solution, which makes staying over 2 days in cold season more challenging. Camp fire can be set up either indoor or outdoor (though neither is appealing due to limited space). Also, due to being high up on a hill, this place requires you to climb a rough slope on foot to reach it, so prepare your good shoes. Lastly, be aware that the local government will charge you some money for entering this area in form of entry tickets (as of 2020, the fee is 30kVND/person), neither owner nor manager of the house will inform you about this in advance as they are all living elsewhere and...
