EDIT: Revisited and portions seem to be larger and better value. A TCE big brekkie was too large for me to finish (just), and I normally eat very large meals. Score has been increased by one star. Last star missing due to coffee being good but nothing exceptional.

Overall a nice place for a drink and maybe some food, but it has what I would consider some easily solvable issues. Firstly drinks. We had ice coffees and they tasted great, but what I did not expect at such a nicely dressed and sit down location was to be served in takeaway cups. Plastic takeaway cups. I initially thought someone must have made a mistake but as I watched other customers being served I noticed the only thing being served as sit down was hot coffee in mugs. Smoothies and other drinks were all being served in plastic takeaway cups. Considering the price and apparent quality I found this very unusual and not at all pleasant.

For food I had the TCE Salmon, my review photo is joined. It was mediocre at best. For a full size lunch it was very small and contained little that felt filling. The taste was ok with the salmon and avocado being nice but the toast and cheese lacking much flavour at all. By the end of the meal I felt I was finishing it to not waste food, not because I wanted to.

Overall I feel this place could do so much better with just a few touch ups to the drinks presentation and food quality. It looks and feels great and has a surprisingly homey feel despite being in the middle of a...

This happened 2 hours ago and i am in a bit of shock at the service received. Myself, 10 yo daughter & 9 yo son were standing in line to order a coffee and milkshake. My son was drinking a boost juice. While in the line an older staff member aggressively started saying how we were not allowed to have the boost juice in the store. We were actually standing in line for takeaway drinks and had no intention of sitting down at a table. I was in shock and asked if she was serious, to which she replied yes and we were told to read the sign, she said we are an independent cafe and you cant bring in other drinks. I clearly mentioned that we were there to order a takeaway drinks and it was a 9yo boy holding the boost juice. I asked if she was the owner and she said not but part of management. I again asked if she was serious that while we stand here to order takeaway drinks that my son could not stand there holding the boost juice. To which she said that's right, you cant bring other drinks in. I have never actually been treated like this before, ever, i am still astounded. I hope the owner does read this and realises what a serious business mistake this is. In this challenging retail climate i would be focusing more on how to generate more customers and not abuse or offend potential one's. Clearly we will not be back and i think we require an apology for the aggressive nature of the...

We went to Coffee Emporium at around 10am on a Saturday morning. To our surprise it wasn't too busy, I can now see why! We ordered 2 X Eggs Benedict and it took 45 minutes for our meals to come out... I could see into the kitchen and it looked like they were literally just cooking one meal at a time. Then our meal came out and my husband had a black hair on his egg (my husband and I are both fair haired). To say I was upset (possibly hangry) was an understatement. The only reason I am giving 2 stars was because of how the front of house manager handled my complaint. I was refunded my money for 1 Eggs Benedict and she offered to make another one. She made it herself within 5 minutes and it was honestly better than mine. Tips for the management: Maybe look at hiring more staff in the kitchen so meals can come out faster as I have seen in previous reviews that service times are an issue. Have your staff wear hair nets in the kitchen

Next time we will be going to the food...

I was immediately let down by the subpar burger I ordered. It appeared as though the concept of an 'Emporium' was taken a tad too literally - my meal was overwhelmingly bread with scant attention given to the actual filling. While a well-made bun is certainly valuable, the proportion of bread to the rest of the ingredients is fundamental to the excellence of a burger. Here, the balance was egregiously skewed in favor of the bread, rendering it akin to a bread sandwich rather than an authentic burger. To provide some context, local bakeries sell bread rolls for a mere 60 cents, yet I found myself paying an upcharge for what tasted like a roll with a meager hint of burger filling. It's dispiriting when one anticipates a satisfying meal, only to be served a bloated bread roll in return. In summary, The Emporium has a significant opportunity to refine their culinary strategy.

The coffee was good but I Won’t return for the food. I ordered the corn fritters they were bland. The hash brown was half a hash brown the chutney gave the fritters the only taste on the whole plate. The only thing that was edible is as the avocado the halloumi cheese was over cooked so it was like rubber . I will not be back for the food . To add insult I had to ask where my meal was and the cook came out and said they were busy when I got my meal the cafe had 7 people in it and that was at 1300 during school holidays it should have been packed now I know why!!!
