A must-visit in Broome! The Broome Courthouse Markets are an absolute gem and a perfect way to spend a Saturday (or Sunday) morning. Located in the shade of majestic boab trees, the market has a really laid-back, tropical vibe that reflects the spirit of Broome. You'll find a wide variety of stalls offering handmade jewelry, local art, Aboriginal crafts, clothing, and all sorts of artisan products. The food options are diverse — from local delicacies to international street food. Whether you're after a fresh smoothie, a curry puff, some bush tucker, or a homemade jam, there’s something tasty for everyone. There are plenty of shaded spots and benches where you can sit, eat, and soak up the atmosphere. Live music often adds to the charm, with local artists playing laid-back tunes. It's not just a market — it’s a cultural experience, full of friendly locals, creative energy, and unique finds. Definitely one of the highlights of Broome!

The market is a fabulous place to be. Lot of stalls and well organized as the food stalls were located at one end of the market and there's lots to see as well. Tried the backache remedy offered by the knowledgeable indigenous gentleman by the entrance of the market and yeah, it did wonders for my sore back. Hopefully, we can find his products someone during our travels so I can purchase as I got too carried away looking at other stuff in the market that I exited the market place and we had to leave Broome to continue our journey. Market day are on the weekends only.

What's not to love about local markets? They showcase the community spirit, and a keen interest in supporting local Business and budding entrepreneurs. And if you're in Broome, be sure to set aside your Saturday morning to check out these absolute gems. With local artworks, handmade jewellery and clothing and plenty of food and drinks available, get on down, check out the stalls and have a chat with a local or two.

The Courthouse Markets are a staple Broome attraction... located in the gardens of Broome's historical courthouse, Saturday mornings head down and you'll discover buskers and sellers of extraordinary wares; artists, and food vans for every delight... and then those little gems of gifts for everyone from jewellery to candles and even knives. In the wet season, it's a niche and local affair, but come the dry season when tourists are around, the scene trebles with trinkets and treasures. Bursting to the seams the Markets roll into Sunday for the season April to September. You'll find what you're looking for and maybe even something you weren't at the Courthouse...

This market was enjoyable. Had a coffee, which we waited over 30 minutes for and then was disappointed to find it was not hot, but honestly I was not going back to have to wait again probably for another 30 minutes minimum for a hotter one. But even though it was not hot, it was still a nice coffee taste wise. Now that I've had a whinge 🤣, the markets were good, usual stalls around though, food, clothing, jewellery, etc. Good quality products, and I found the prices to be reasonable. These markets were on both Saturday and Sunday when see were there in early May. Good for a wander around, you can listen to the Musicians and enjoy a chat...
