Stellarossa Mango Hill — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

We arrived for breakfast at 9am when we arrived there was only one table cleaned so we had to sit there as the rest still had dirty plates and cups everywhere. We were not greeted in any way. After looking at the menu and waiting 20 min I realised we had to go up and order. I stood at the cpunder for 5 min before asking the Chief if someone will take my order, eventually some one did. I ordered an open/flat grill bacon and avocado melt with a side of chips as advertised. Once my meal came I realised it was put thru as a huge side order of chips that I paid extra for. I took one bite of my meal and was instantly sick it was covered in maple syrup a Bacon and avocado open grill swimming in maple syrup like it was pancakes! I asked the young girl working if that was how it was ment to came beleaving surly someone grabed the wrong bottle of sauce...and she said YES. I couldn't beleave it, I ate one more bite and could bearly finish that bite let alone the meal. I don't know what is happening of late with regards to the size of your eggs benedict.

My family, friends and I are highly frequent visitors to your cafe, and as always I get my usual "eggs benedict". But, it seems of late that the eggs benedict has shrunk significantly in size.

You used to get 2 pieces of sour dough, 2 eggs and sufficient bacon to go over both peices of bread. Now all you seem to get is one peice of toast, 2 eggs and small amount of bacon for $19. This to me is not really acceptable any more with regards to a fair portion size and price.

I'm hopeful you can take this feedback on board and change it back to the way it used to be, so I don't have to cheat on you with another cafe.

At the end of the day, it's one more slice of toast and probably one more rasher of bacon to fix this issue and make your customers happy once more.

On another note, the staff have always been happy to help us and very curtious on our visit.

03/04/25- still can’t get my order right and at $28+ for 2 eggs + bacon on 2 slices of toast I expect better. WAAAAY better 😒 It’ll be a great day in the neighbourhood when a competing cafe is somewhere within walking distance.

Been here on a number of occasions now just to make sure I provided a fair review. On EVERY occasion I’ve had to send my order back because they don’t know what “over easy” means for an egg order and/or they forgot an extra. Then to have the plate returned and slapped down in a petulant way as of to say that I’m the one in the wrong!!? I can forgive it once, even twice but their failure to learn and improve their service is very poor. I don’t expect Michelin star service but at these prices I do expect you to get my order right.
