Morayfield Sport & Events Centre — Local services in Greater Brisbane

We attended Rubik’s Competition at this center second time. First time in 2024, the center was felt comfortable and staff was nice. Particulars, the cafeteria food was delicious! We bought from the cafeteria and also bought from outside without any issues. However, just one year passed, 2025, we found out that the cafeteria food was too salty and quality was really bad, which is why cubers and family members don’t want to buy from the cafeteria anymore. We still bought fish and chips and wedges in the morning. The fish and sauce tasted disgusting, we did not really want to say to public. We have bought the food from the cafeteria in the morning but too disgusting, then we have bought lunch from outsides and all other people also bought the food from outside. When a lady, named Courtney, saw us eating the food that is not from cafeteria. Ms Courtney forced us go outside of the event Center in the middle of children’s lunch. More than 200 people’s event, nearly half of the attendees are eating outside food and only us have been forced out of the event center. Disgusting food, unfairly treated people, no mercy and no compassion. We will strongly recommend WCA change other event centers to hold competitions for the future.

Furthermore, there was no air conditioning for 200 people’s event for the day with outside temperatures 35 degrees! How could the center hold anymore...

Showed up for the 730-930 session and got turned away at the door despite our friend, who is a suns QSL player was on a spare court which we were prepared to pay for compensationial hire. Arrived late at night and got turned away as the court was “unavailable”. Went to see our friend and played with him anyway and spoke to the employee who came and saw us to remove us from the premises.

I am a MESC member and I got an email saying this session was available as well as checking the Facebook and website to check the validity of this employee saying the court was unavailable which I could not find anywhere and I have screenshots of all three of these sources, she also told me that it was posted on the Facebook that this particular session would be cancelled which was a blatant lie.

Just wanted to wind down at night and play some ball with my friends but was denied this simple pleasure for some unseeable reason.

Negative 5 stars won’t be bringing any of my teams here to train...

Came here for an event & this is the first time I have experienced a sport centre cafe that had a wonderful variety of food that tasted delicious!!! Best hot chips with the right amount of chicken salt, the portions are decent & value for money! Not the usual place I would review but these guys deserved a shout out! Super friendly team too!

You’ll find the cafe inside the venue, if the football fields are open there another eating area outside for everyone along with some indoor seating & outdoor chairs as well!

LOTS of parking but expect it to be packed when events are on! Access & amenities available for mobility...
