Wasn’t the best experience . The little shop is quaint and very full of nick nacks that are very over priced but very cozy though …. The older lady didn’t say good morning - I just gave her my order and paid and waited . A young girl handed my order to me and she was lovely and I asked to make sure it was almond milk as well . Which she said it was …. I walked out and then waited for TKMax to open . I couldn’t even drink it all or even get to halfway. It tasted like just a cup of almond milk with chicory thrown in and ice … I had to throw it out I couldn’t finish it . Very disappointed:( I am unsure if was just the feeling but I heard the other lady say / complaining about how she is run off her feet and she is a one man band . Hearing that made me feel like .. I was quite impressed on this first visit to The Black Bear. Some serves (including salad) were very generous and the range was good. Bundaberg soft drinks were available, served in a glass with ice. The outdoor, covered eating area was pleasant (despite it being a hot day) and we could set up a little spot for our new puppy that was out of everyone's way. Another well-behaved dog arrived with "mistress" during our stay which encouraged communication. Service was quicker than I expected and dishes were cleared after we finished rather than after we left. Most importantly, the presentation, cleanliness and staff efficiency made us feel this was a healthy place to visit. Travelling through and found this coffee shop, looked amazing and when I ordered the staff were arguing in front of there customers, I thought hmm not a good start but thought go back a few days later, and again they were arguing amongst staff. The young chap with long hair needs to smile and be a little bit more customer service focused. I won’t be going back as was awkward and found another place to go for coffee. Seem like his place needs better customer service. I’m not one to normally leave this feedback but thought share my experience here with others. Also food handling no gloves and seems one person gets food out with bare hands and passes it on to someone else bare hands. Glad I didn’t eat there...
