Balwyn Kebabs — Local services in Melbourne

BALWYN KEBABS would have to be one of the WORST FAST FOOD places that I have bought food from. It is actually quite an insult, considering they have signs posted up about how they take pride in their customers and quality of food. I hope their kebabs are 1000 times better than their burgers, something I will never find out because I will never go back there again. I went in on Saturday the 20th of July at around 1.30pm. There was one guy working there, he was on the phone the entire time, from the time he took my order, to the time he finished making my burger. He had wireless headphones in, but occasionally you could hear him talking in conversation. It was obvious that being on the phone was a distraction for him, as he tried to multi-task. It took him 14 minutes to make one burger, which I didn't even eat because I watched him make it and touch all of the main ingredients with his bare hands. THIS GUY WAS DISGUSTING AND UN-HYGIENIC. HIS CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS NON-EXISTENT!!! The burger bun, which he put his thumb through, see photo below, he touched the lettuce and the tomatoes with his bare hands and then he drowned the meat patty in spicy sauce, a meat patty which was black and burnt and was hard to touch, because it was very very over cooked. I watched him take the frozen meat patty out of the freezer with his bare hands, he put the meat patty on the grill and while the meat patty was cooking, he touched the broom and the dust pan with his bare hands, he cut meat off the rotisserie sticks with a small electric saw and then touched the bin, with his bare hands. I was so disgusted and angry at the time, that although I wanted to say something straight to his face, I thought an honest review will be much more effective and help make other people aware before they order food from Balwyn Kebabs. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME...

Hi there, I been 2 years I am the regular customer of Balwyn kebabs Doncaster road but I never thought of such worst experience. The story is I made a call and ordered for chips with can of sprite. Firstly he didn’t attend the call , on second attempt he picked the call and told me to wait for 20 minutes. After waiting when I went inside to collect my order he start shouting at me why you made a call just for chips as you know we are busy here and this is not the way to make online order for such small stuff. I was shocked what the way he talking about. After debate he said I have given you 20 minutes time as your order is ready but you need to wait that time frame. I told him that I am regular customer and had long affiliation with this shop you have no right to talk me like this. When I get my order the chips was cold not eatable . I want to mention here what ever the customer want to order it’s the responsibility of business to serve with respect. For now onward Balwyn kebabs will no more my priority. I am strongly not recommending you guys regarding the customer service and food. I am writing this comment on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at around 11pm. I don't know why I didn't write this sooner, but about 7-8 months ago I bought their HSP for dinner. A few hours later I woke up in the middle of the night and had an upset stomach. Thinking to myself that it was a regular food poisoning, I waited... but not for long. I was not able to sleep during the whole night since I was literally sitting in the toilet the WHOLE NIGHT. From this something was definitely not right, so I kept patiently waiting hoping the pain would go away but unfortunately it got worse to the point I had to go to the bathroom EVERY 5 MINUTES. It was absurd! Visited the doctors in the morning and had it checked out. Turns out that from the HSP, I got IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME. The problem was it didn't go away and this combination of diarrhea, constipation and spasm lasted literally for 4-5 months. Looking at past reviews of the inconsistency and how the owner is unable to take criticism is disgusting and appalling. I'll be waiting for an angry reply of "medical certificate proof", but hopefully no one else has to experience such unfortunate circumstances. I'd definitely stay away from this store unless you want to get severe and long lasting food poisoning! Google needs a zero...
