Maka Maka — Local services in Melbourne

Unfortunately I have a full time job, and if not, I'd visit this cafe EVERYDAMNDAY. 😩 I initially wanted to try out shortstop (donut cafe next door), but I got distracted by this lovely staff (Osie/Lian Pei) whom greeted me like how people greet in Taiwanese drama, (LOOOOOVE Taiwanese accent by the way), that lured me in. Introduced me to every.single.cake.options.there.were. Marketing skill and choice of word top notch! I eventually chose a lychee cake like damn. Best lychee cake I have ever tried in my whole entire life. Expectations and outcomes were compatibly met. Visited AGAIN 2 days after, bought 8 pieces of 8 different flavours for my colleagues to try out and everybody got hooked. Address and the location of Makamaka were inquired, I was so busy sharing their pin point on google maps 😨. There’s so much things I want to try which I probably need to re-visit a couple of times

The menu seems to be constantly changing, so there's always something new to try!

This time round we tried the choux pastries, flavors such as Oreo, matcha, strawberry & taro. They were really nice 👍 👍 — since it was almost end of the day we got them Buy 1 Get 1 Free!

We also tried their Taro Latte which was quite a let down, it didn’t had a strong taro taste, and felt like we were drinking just hot warm milk..

I would definitely come back her again to try different cakes and pastries — maybe a different drink...

On September 1st, at around 9:10 PM, I went to buy a cake. Unfortunately, the staff member (a guy) who served us was not willing to provide good service (rude both of word and actions).

When I asked about the price, he seemed reluctant to answer. When I asked about the cake flavors, he looked annoyed. After I paid, the staff did not say “thank you” or even confirm that the payment was successful.

Instead, he immediately turned away to do something else, so my friend and I had to ask whether the payment went through. When I asked for a bag, He said we have no bag....., so I had to carry the cake home with my hands and a lot of stuffs that I...
