My 1st visit to this pet friendly community market selling fresh produce, organic household items, lots of knick knacks such as books, trinkets and fairly decent number of food stalls .Coffee was quite good-robust in flavour the way I like it.The chickpea ,corn and mushroom fritters was really delicious-flavourful and generous in size portion. We also ordered the chicken mushroom pasties which didn't disappoint either-this stall is worth a visit! The satay" pau" (buns),the pork buns and the satay set was a favourite with my daughter and partner. Relished the tender chicken pieces cooked over a charcoal pit!Watching the owner patiently baste ,turn over and cook the satay sticks slowly reflected his dedication and pride in his work. The bakery was popular as evidenced by the long queue. There is a stall selling various types of honey .Various types of fresh mushrooms are available as well. Seating is limited but you have ample space to spread out your picnic mat and have a relaxing timewatching kids play or listening to the buskers .The Facebook page lists the stalls participating in the particular weekend a day before the event .Prices can be a bit on the higher side as...
Read moreBrought here to this saturday market by friends who preorder their veggies from the farmers market. Good option to reduce your use of single use plastic bags. Bought coffee (decaff available, nice flavour and milk silkiness) and bread (spelt fruit loaf and snails: Well above average flavours and texture, highly recommended) Also other options for breakfast available: crepes & japanese that I can remember. Butcher and sausages available, our friends got a bunch of chicken ones.
Some other Reviews talk about distilleries and wineries. Unfortunately not the case during our visit. We were told there's Web info on who's coming or not on a particular Saturday, so better check it before you plan your visit.
There's a nice trailer selling soaps, shampoos, sanitisers and other household cleaning liquids in bulk. We liked the idea to reduce use of plastics and will consider buying next time.
Live music gives a festive atmosphere to this event.
I'm not a dog lover, and do not feel comfortable around dog owners that can't control their pets or don't mind when pets lick and touch goods for sale. Would have tried some of the cookies on sale, but I guess you...
Read moreWonderful! I share these pics of the healthy beautiful succulents I bought this morning. I also bought three of the most decadent cheeses I've ever tried from the fromagerie. I love farmers markets and frequent south freo, north perth and Karrinyup almost every weekend. I take my dog and she attracts lovely people to come and chat and lots of kids. This is a very small market but offers a nice balance of fruit and veg, high quality meat and cheeses and coffee providers... and as I live close by its an easy and always fun morning at the market. Don't miss it! If you are a foodie make it your regular if you...
