Bhutan Cuisine — Restaurant in Western Australia

My favourite Perth restaurant! The food and service are EXCELLENT and have been incredibly consistent since we started coming here over 12 months ago. The staff have been kind enough to teach us about Bhutan's unique cuisine and provide helpful recommendations. The atmosphere is as warm and inviting as the ema datshi (chilli cheese) and as comforting as the suja (butter tea). In particular, Nim is one of the best hospitality workers I've ever come across.

After reading some comments I want to note a couple of things: the food can take a little time, but that is because it is being made fresh and with love, not a factory process. Number #1 comfort food. the price is VERY reasonable and comparable with other restaurants (particularly Nepalese and Indian). If concerned, the prices are all listed online.

I have been ordering food here for a couple years now. I love the Sikam Datshi, Pork Chilli, Alu Dum, Shakam Datshi, Mushroom Datshi and all the Steamed Momo options. However, our meal last night was more than disappointing. We ordered Sikam Datshi, Pork Ribs and Beef Chilli, via Menulog. We were surpised to receive only 4 very small pork ribs- although they were tasty, for a $24 main course, this is appalling value. The Beef Chilli was also downsized. It came in a half-size takeaway container, but no cheaper at $24. The Sikam Datshi was full size, as usual, but was very watered down and lacked flavour. We won't be rushing back after this experience. I paid $79 for 3 main courses, to feed 2 adults, and we were both left feeling hungry and short changed. Yesterday, we visited Bhutan Cuisine, a bustling restaurant with a lively atmosphere. Although it was quite busy and we had to wait a bit longer for our order to be taken after being seated, the experience was turned around by a wonderful server.Her name was Delyang and sorry if I spelled it incorrectly.When she finally came to our table, her warmth and attentiveness made all the difference. She took our order with care and even surprised us with a lovely compliment, which added a special touch to our evening. Despite the initial delay, the exceptional service made the visit worth it, and I would definitely recommend Bhutan Cuisine for its welcoming staff...
