We booked a Superior 2 bedroom cabin for NYE with our family. We tried to call before arrival to see if we could have an earlier check in. No answer we tried about 10 times. We arrived at 1.30pm to check in. Upon arrival we were told that our cabin won't be ready until after 2pm as they are busy and running behind. They said they'd call us when ready. It got to 3.15 and no phone call, we have 3 kids and had just driven 3 hours. We were also so told that the pool facilities weren't working as someones child did a code brown the day before, she laughed as she told me this ... not really funny!!! so you can imagine it's NYE in 30 degree heat, no check in yet and no pool facilities! We were told we could drive 15min away to use another facilities pool.. not ideal when you don't want to drive anymore during your stay! Finally at 3.30pm when we drove back to check in the cleaner was still in the room and told me the cabin was filthy from previous holiday maker and she was still behind. Not ideal. We finally got to check into our cabin (no 16).. well what a let down. It's nothing like the photos, the cabin is old run down, dirty, tiles.chipped cracked, stains on floor and carpet. It was nothing like the photos and to be honest false advertising. I went back and spoke to reception and they couldn't care less, they wanted out for the afternoon and told me the photos are just like that for advertising, totally false! So be warned and I'll attach photos the Superior cabins are just like the standard ones. The bunk beds are very dangerous for young children to get on and off the ladders. Don't waste your money, better value for money elsewhere! The park itself lacks any real holiday atmosphere and staff...

Stayed here for 2 nights in a powered site. This is only our experience during our 2 days stay here.

Bonus- v good wifi and tv reception

Reasonably priced with concrete slab.

Adequate space if people are courteous. Our neighbour has caravan, opened awning and the space between them and ours, he parks his vehicle so no real space there and privacy, same neighbour who owns one of the big barky dog.

Environment- clean site, shades and trees adequate, safe and well lit blocks at night time.

Amenities- clean toilet, pool clean, has washing/dryer facilities, lots of recyclable and general waste bins, there’s dump site and bike repair area. I didn’t see any camp kitchen. The cabins look nice and there’s a few of them.

Over 1 k walk to shops to the shops tkmaxx etc.,

Dog friendly but small site to walk the dog. 2 big dogs barking at anyone that cross their line of sight, one big dog lounged at me and my small Jack Russell and tied at their caravan but long lead which reached the edge of the road which is a near miss. Neighbour dog started barking at 5:22 am this morning waking me up. Not allowed to walk the dog through the permanents which is 2 blocks made the walk area smaller. Night time is ok, not much barking. I should’ve reported but decided not to I just avoided the areas...

We had an excellent stay at Tasman Holiday Park in Hervey Bay. The value for money was outstanding, and everything was exceptionally clean. The camp kitchen was spotless and fully equipped with everything you might need—plenty of appliances, plus thoughtful extras like dish soap, sponges, and kitchen towels. We were genuinely impressed. The park was quiet and peaceful, never overcrowded, which made for a very relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, well-maintained, and tranquil camping experience.
