Our wedding at the Dockside Group on the 5 July 2025 in Darling Harbour was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the remarkable team who brought it to life.

From our very first meeting, Lenita was an absolute delight. She listened intently, anticipated our needs and radiated a warm, welcoming charm that instantly put us at ease. Her professionalism and gracious manner were instrumental in our decision to choose Dockside, alongside the breathtaking waterfront setting.

Lenita then entrusted us to the skilled and personable care of Carol, whose poise, meticulous organisation and genuine warmth made the planning process effortless. She coordinated every detail behind the scenes from the ceremony to the reception and all the run sheets with precision and unwavering dedication. It was truly a pleasure working with Carol, in the months leading up to our big day.

On the day itself, our event manager Anju was the embodiment of composure and expertise. A natural problem solver with exceptional management skills, she handled every detail with elegance and efficiency. She felt less like a coordinator and more like a trusted family member, ensuring that even the smallest hiccup was addressed with foresight and grace. We are incredibly thankful for Anju’s seamless coordination of the entire wedding and her amazing management of all suppliers, which truly made the day stress-free and flawless.

A special commendation must go to Chef Malcolm, whose culinary artistry was a highlight of the evening. His menu was a refined fusion of flavours, artfully composed and layered with depth, offering our guests an unforgettable dining experience that was as visually stunning as it was delicious.

It was a nightmare, dealing with the Dockside venue people when I paid the full amount two weeks before the function date. With the current Covid 19 numbers, We had people dropping out everyday up until the day. In the end we had 40 people not show. As a bride, I was already stressed and the venue made me even more. We asked if they're was anything they could do so we wouldn't be out of pocket or at least have something additional with that extra money that was paid. Genevieve was not compassionate at all and couldn't care less. She didn't want to help at all. I had to fight to get Lenita to give us some additional wine. Even then, it did not make up the thousands that we lost. I didn't even get to have my wedding cake as they served all the wedding cake and instead wrapped up the fake part of the cake. On top of that I arrived and the table arrangements were all in the wrong order. Again they couldn't care less. My family members had to arrange them themselves. The sparklling wine wasn't even on the tables. Something I paid for and did not receive. Guests with dietary requirements were served the wrong meals and had to find where they're meals went. Bar staff served Stronger drinks meaning we ran out of our spirits at 9.30pm! I got asked at the start of the night if I would like a drink and then for the rest of the night I never got asked. I will never ever recommend this venue. The only good thing was the food. Anyone who is looking into booking please read the terms and conditions as they do not have a covid clause in their contracts and will do anything not...

Wedding 11-08-2018 - From the moment i enquired with Susan G, i knew Dockside was the perfect venue. The coordinators changed a few times however the service was never compromised. Dockside is an extremely accomodating and flexible wedding venue, with an all inclusive package that ticks all your boxes (cake, dj, getaway car, etc). Not just this, but they are flexible and allow you to bring external suppliers and do not try and charge you for simple things like using a rigging point for ceiling florals. The lead up to my wedding, Jessica Magnusson was extremely helpful and understanding as well as Felicia Filipakis and we are really thankful. Our actual wedding night was the best night of our lives and our guests still tell us how smoothly everything went. The service on the night was on point, with the waiters attending to all the tables promptly and frequently. I don't remember much from the whole night, but i remember being extremely happy and satisfied at the service and quality of dockside as my wedding venue. Thanks DG!! x...
