AVOID THIS PLACE
Came here with my girlfriend and her friends to celebrate her getting a new job and to watch Vivid. Upon arrival I gave my ID to the security to be scanned, got in and sat down with my friends. About 10 seconds later, after finding a table, someone in a black t-shirt approached me, did not identify who he was and was not dressed in any kind of attire that would indicate that he worked there. He then asked me to come with him. I did not know who he was, and I asked if there was a problem. He kept insisting that I come with and and then asked how I got into the bar. I replied that I came through the front and had given the security at the front my ID and they had let me in. I was hesitant as he never once identified who he was or if he worked at the bar. He then took me to the front where he berated me and kept asking me how much I've had to drink that night, which I repeatedly answered "Nothing, I was there to have drinks with my girlfriend and her friends." Another security guard (one who has just let me in about 1 minute ago) then came over, got right in my face, and asked how much I had to drink tonight. I once again replied "Nothing". He then insisted they scan my ID again, which I complied to, and they found nothing wrong. I did absolutely nothing to warrant be pulled aside and berated in front of my friends and the bar. They did not apologize or give a reason why and were very rude.
Meanwhile, the security did nothing about the people smoking, even though there were no smoking signs everywhere. The security seemed to know the people smoking so they were ok with it.
Lastly, the service was terrible. While I was being berated, my girlfriend went to order drinks and find a couple extra chairs for the table. When she asked a server if they had any extra chairs they replied "have look for yourselves". Very rude workers.
Absolutely terrible place with terrible service and security who think they can treat paying patrons anyway they want. Avoid...
Read moreWe have frequented the Tokio Hotel at Darling Harbour for Breakfast, morning and afternoon teas but today my Husband organised an anniversary lunch. Well what can I say from the greeting at the front entrance right through to paying the bill was one of the best dinning experiences we have had. Thank you to the young ladies and gentle men for your professional service, thank you to the chefs that prepared the best seafood we have enjoyed for a long time and an extra special thank you to the owner and manager for personally asking 'how has your service and food been here today?' Your leadership and the manner in which you treat your staff reflects across every experience you offer to your customers. Congratulations! My Husband and I are of no special importance, just hard working people but we felt very special this weekend. Again Thank you, we highly recommend to Put Tokio Hotel down on the MUST DO a list when visiting Sydney we will defiantly return. Bruce and Sharryn Marshall from...
Read moreI was at the bar, took the queue and they left me to last, I didnt understand why, then the bartender told me I couldnt have my sun glasses on inside, it was 4pm and half of the ppl were still wearing them... Im a bit light sensitive. So should be alright.. Even feeling a bit upset of the way I was treated, i took my glasses off and got my drink, and when I was about to walk to the balcony which was the same to way walk out, the same girl came to me talking very agressive saying I couldnt leave with the drink. Which of course I wasnt even thinking about, I just arrived and was only looking for a table or a place to hang out and enjoy my date.
I really hope someone reads this and take it further to teach them how a customer should be treat, I ended on another venue around the corner which I was well served and could finish my sunset at Darling Harbour.
It seems they dont really cares about customers experience. 10 minutes there was enough to me...
