Me and my wife came here for lunch with a couple of friends and we were extremely impressed in EVERY aspect.
The staff was not only friendly and professional, they were also genuinely passionate about their food, which was believeable and very contagious. We were impressed by their positive attitude and level of culinary knowledge. The setting and atmosphere was nothing less than what you'd expect from a fine dining restaurant either.
The food was absolutely stunning! This is fine dining at its best. Every dish was delicate and unique with multiple elements that worked in harmony. We ordered mostly seafood dishes - Moreton Bay bugs, grilled scallops with bone marrow, crab meat salad, coral trout, cod fillet etc., literally all of them were top notch. Texture, flavour, aroma, construction and presentation... everything was 5/5.
Their desserts were mind-nuking as well so make sure you leave some room. If you are a fan of after-meal scotch/congac/whatever, they will bring a trolley around and you can make your pick - which is stylishly oldschool.
The price was reasonable for this level of quality in food, service and enjoyment. I'd definitely save their details in my phone for the next...
Read moreBeautiful location with high ornate ceilings and chandeliers. Tables with double white table cloths are well spaced. Good service from well trained staff. We chose the four course menu and shared different choices with our partners, so were able to try eight different dishes. The other menu option was the set tasting menu. Tried the raw tuna and spanner crab for first course. The second course of Murray cod and pork jowl were both stand out dishes. The Murray Cod soft, tender and perfectly cooked. The pork was tasty and melted in your mouth. The coral trout and ranger valley beef for the main course were nicely cooked, but not spectacular. The coconut pudding, soufflé and valrhona chocolate pave were all outstanding. All washed down by a selection of imported beers, cocktails and a bottle of Northern Rhone valley wine. An overall enjoyable experience, albeit expensive, but appropriate for a...
Read moreI ate here last night with a group of friends. The food and service was outstanding! I have been here 2 years ago but I don’t remember that experience. However, this time round, it left a VERY good impression! The oysters here are one of the best I have had in Sydney (I have tried many oysters all around Sydney). The presentation and taste of every dish was phenomenal! We had food from the chef’s menu. The dishes I had include the veal tartare, wagyu slices, cod and the soufflé for dessert. Service was prompt and food was served in a very timely manner. The most important thing was everyone’s dish was served at the same time. Honestly, this is what fine dining should be like. I would recommend this to family and friends and definitely come back. This restaurant really puts other fine dining restaurants I’ve been to, to shame!
Another edit: I absolutely...
